Uganda's Anti-Homosexuality Law Struck Down

"A court in Uganda has struck down the country's infamous and draconian Anti-Homosexuality Law today on a technicality, voiding the measure because Speaker Rebecca Kadaga pushed the bill through during a session that lacked a quorum."

Obviously it's great that this has happened, but I'm not happy that the accusations of discriminations have been cast aside and I'm concerned that they will try and reintroduce the law this time with Quorum backing :(

While any small step is precious, one of my instant concerns is how the UK Home Office will use this as justification to deport even more vulnerable people back to Uganda again. The Home Office has consistently demonstrated extensive homophobia and transphobia via requiring degrading proof of sexuality and rejecting the vast, vast majority of applications as fake based on flawed thinking.
