Title: Mr. Orange talk
Post by: LondonV on August 06, 2014, 05:19:21 PM
Hey ladies,

Quick question. Which dot can you ladies get to on the orange biggest dilator? I know I get it in til I see the last dot and part of the dot before that. How about you ladies? I know we can't put the entire thing in but just curious how much you ladies get inside.

Take care loves.

I get him into the 5 1/2" mark. So 1 dot from the last.

That always has been my depth mark.

Just to be clear being there are 2 orange dilators you are talking about the largest soul source dilator that 9 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide.

That is the one i use.

I use the same one. When my legs are straight, I get almost all of it in. However, if I put my legs up, some of it pushes out a little bit. It's incredible how much my depth has increased since surgery. I went from 6.5" to 8" depth. However, it is worth mentioning that I have always added one to two extra dialations to my daily schedule, and I have a boyfriend who is very well endowed.

hugs,

Samantha

Glad you have worked more depth. And  :o .

Guess for me my age has guided me to just keeping it at the surgery depth.

I'm curious how everyone measures depth. I have a standing magnified mirror, which I sit on the bed  which gives me an outstanding view of the top of the dilator. I think I may be on the shallow side as I just get a little past the third dot completely in. But I'm measuring at the surface of the vestibule, not the labia.  If I use the mirror to look downward I can just barely see the fourth dot.

Please share, I'm curious if I'm comparing apples to apples.

How it is said, lube up your vavejay real good.

Remove the dilatior and clean it.

Re install to depth and slowly rotate 360 and remove.

The lube line is your true depth.

Mrs. Izzy : Oh, interesting! I wonder why that never occurred to me before. Doing it that way, I get a little bit past the 5.5" dot (the second to last).

That is a true depth. like a lube ruler lol.

I read that somewhere on how to mesure vagina depth.

I am the same depth as I started, lost a little but early and have over a year got it worked back. 5.5 is normal Brassard depth. Not sure now if they mark the depth anymore.?

Izzy, you are correct, they don't mark the depth, they just looked at the dilator when I did my first to see where it was. When I asked them if I was the normal depth, they said I had good depth. I believe the other girls with me that week had more depth however based on thier comments.

Izzy, you may remember that I was concerned because Dr B thought I may require a graft.

If by "mark the depth" you mean write it on the dilator, then no; I had to measure the dots myself. I do remember being told 5.5" was his standard depth, though. :)

Ok, checking the way you described Izzy, I see a line just past the fifth dot, but that is because when I rotate, some lube is from the lower vaginal opening / labia.

Maybe I'm not as shallow as I thought. Hmmm

Jenna when I was there we had the 5.5 dot marked.

Dkl and another's seem they stopped it, maybe same time they dropped #1

So that gives a true idea of depth.

Mrs. Izzy : ah, wait, I think I see what you mean - they colored in the second to last (5.5") dot with black marker. But they didn't write inches/cm next to it, which is what I thought you meant at first. :)  Of course, I was there before you anyway, so that doesn't say anything about what they're doing now; I wonder why they'd stop, though?

And they dropped the #1/purple dilator?! Yikes. I remember even being scared of *that* one - I would not have liked skipping straight to the blue.

Yep no more Mr purple.

Ya sorry i meant they marked with a black dot.

Me i always hated the Mr purple, it was pokey in the back dome so was always glad to get a larger sized worked.

So much changed now that the new girls need to move up let the to be newbies what is now expected.

But we old timers will soon fade into the good nite LOL>

Hugs
Izzy

Izzy, I'm not sure where I fall into that. I'm definitely a new girl, but also fall into the old timer category, but I refuse to go silently into the nite.

Yes things have changed, they have us include orange after the fourth week, so the 5th week is blue, green and orange till the 8th week when we drop Mr Blue.

The theory is that the stint that was removed is the same size as the green. I think they said green. Anyway they felt by using #1 we were giving up width that was "built in".

I'm a bit confused about how everyone is measuring depth with the orange dilator. My orange dilator is 9". There are 5 dots. Using a tape measure starting from the apex of the dome, dot 4 appears to mark 4.5" and dot 5 marks 5". There is no 6th dot to mark 5.5".

Do I have a non-standard orange dilator or am I measuring incorrectly? Both which I doubt somehow!

Nicolette : Hm. I have no idea what's different in your case, but when I measure from the tip to the second to last dot (that is, the dot that is farther away from the curved tip and closer to the base), I get 5.5". I don't *think* Soul Source has changed their dilator design, but mine are in fact 2.5 years old, so it's possible, I guess!

To be fair, I'm also measuring using a tape measure, as it seemed to be more accurate than a flat ruler for a curved item. It's entirely possible that *I'm* wrong.

Oops, let me correct my error. Dot 4 marks 5" and dot 5 is at 5.5". I see what's confused me. Jenna, you say the second to last dot marks 5.5" on your orange. But it's my last dot that is 5.5". I dilate up to the second to last, but so do you, but you're 0.5" deeper. Any idea what am doing wrong or could my dilator be marked differently?

Nicolette : I am going to go re-measure it right now. :)

...

Looks like we were both in error; I also measured the last dot as 5.5" just now. And while they did color in the second to last dot on mine as the goal when I was dilating in the residence, they *also* said the final depth planned was 5.5", so I must have mixed those up somehow. If I push I can get to the last dot (meaning my maximum recorded depth is still 5.5"), but at more than 2 years post-op I don't always bother stretching for that last half-inch but I do consistently dilate at least to the second to last [colored in] dot. Since I'm bad at math, the end result is that I got everything all muddled and then confused people. Sorry!!

Honestly, I'm not sure how much difference a half inch makes in any case, as it's variable by things like how precisely everything was measured (uh, oops again) and how relaxed you are that day and so on.

Jenna, thanks for clearing that up. I was wondering whether I was dilating to 5.5" too.
