Title: Love never fails...
Post by: Illuminess on August 09, 2014, 11:00:53 PM
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away."

— 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8

In all of our struggles, trials and tribulations we must always keep this message in mind, and not let fear sway us. It doesn't matter if you're Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Wiccan, Jewish, Atheist or whatever. Some things simply are, and unchangeable. It isn't exclusive to one set of beliefs or the other. It isn't a special gift or reserved for a few. It's eternal and infinitely available, and we are all capable of embracing it and giving it, especially to those who may wrong us. Transmute all darkness to light, all hate to love.

Quote from: Mark 12:31 (ESV)...'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'...

So many people get fired up about the peculiarities of everyone else.  As Christians, if we follow this rule, everything else simply falls in to place in ours, and others', lives.  Let God sweat the big things; we ourselves are enough of a hassle as it is.
