Hi, everyone. I'm a cis mom of three boys. I'm here because one of my teenage son's girlfriends is very fluid in her gender expression, and I just want to know the best way to offer her our support. She has ordered breast binders and had them mailed to our house to avoid confrontation with her parents. According to my son, she sometimes feels like a girl and sometimes like a boy, so she just goes back and forth. Is there anything I should do, other than just being cool with whoever she is? Is the "going back and forth" a sign that she needs help settling on an identity, or is the fluidity itself a healthy identity? I don't know the best place to post this here, so I figured I would just jump right in.

Welcome to Susan's Querida
As i guess she is not getting any support from her (will be referring as he) family. if he does then they need to get him to see a gender therapist. It that is not possible he should be able to go to the local planned parenthood for help. Most offer services for transgender youth. I think he is just in the throws of his starting to question things. So now is the time for help, understanding and acceptance.
There is so many threads here i would look around the SO section alone with the FTM parts. Also ask away someone should be able to help.
