Title: Woman of color traveling
Post by: Alessandra29 on August 16, 2014, 10:48:41 PM
Hi I am a woman of color, my mother is Spanish European, and my father is black/japanese. I know that a lot of women have traveled to Mexico with good result, but what about Argentina? I've been to Spain, and the climate there is mixed, bordering on racist. I really like Di Maggio's work, but I've read horror stories on Latin American/Spanish forums about his staff literally treating you like crap because of the fact that you are transgender, and actually going so far as to intentionally use the wrong pronouns. If that's the reception someone with white  skin gets, I can imagine how difficult it must be for a colored woman to be down there. As well, how is the area where Dr. Bart is?

I've never been to see Dr. D but why would the staff treat transgender patients like crap when that is their target audience and puts a lot of money in their pockets. The problem is that you have to take what you read on forums with a grain of salt.  I've usually found that if someone is excessively bashing someone else it's because they are a competitor of that business.  I've seen it in many different areas.

Hi I'm sorry that that happens . I will say in Spain I have noticed that kind of treatment as well. I think if you can get into contact with some of his former patients maybe they can answer that better for you. I hope his staff does not behave that way. It will cost them money
