Hi all,
My endo just upped my estrogen dosage, and I asked him if I should split it up ( spiro is taken twice a day), and take it as divided dosage with my spiro, or at once.
He said it does not matter, and told me to take the full dose at once, with my morning spiro.
Now my question is, would it make that much of a difference if it is divided up during the day, or one large dose. And how would it affect your body?
On the one side, I see it as a large amount of estrogen for a shorter time vs less, but more consistent over the 24h cycle.
Also noting the half life of esdrodiol vererate being approximately 15hours.
Just curious. ..
BTW, I just take them all at once in the morning now.

If he says take it all at once that's what I'd say you should do. :)

I think it really differs for everyone. I take estrogen 3 times a day. IT used to be 2 in the morning and one at night, but my levels were at 70 with this regimine. Since I've changed it to 3 times a day (4-6 hours apart) it's gone up to 140. Who knows how or why, but splitting it has done me some good. In any event, this differs from person to person.

Your measured levels may have gone up perhaps because there was less time that passed between intake and test. Besides, levels may fluctuate in time too. Have you noticed better results physically and/or felt better since increasing frequency of intake? That's what really matters in the end...
