Title: One of my managers was literally stunned

I stopped by my volunteer job yesterday to return a dress that sadly did not fit. (Return address? Get it? Mail puns! Haha! Male puns? Get it? Gender puns! Haha!)
And hey, that was a pun within a pun. Let's see you do that!
But yes, I was so in love with this dress. I didn't have time to try it on, so one of my managers fronted it to me until I came back.
So I came in, sharing the sad news that I had to return this awesome dress. A different manager -- one I hadn't seen in a while -- walks by, stops in his tracks, and says, "C--- you look... stunning! Whatever you're doing, keep it up!"
In his voice and body language, it was obvious how he had been caught off-guard and seemed to have a crush on me!
Boy, that made my day.
And later while I was skating, an observer wanted to ask me about the tattoo on my arm. She said, "Excuse me, miss?"
Not in a patronizing way. Not trying to flatter me. Just a natural, "excuse me, miss?" I seem to be getting miss'd and ma'am'd more and more.
It's ironic that when I dress more androgynously, I pass more as a girl.

That's because a lot of girls these days dress more androgynously than ten years ago, and it doesn't detract from their femaleness and is often more comfortable and easy going than wearing a dress and having to wear all the rest of the appropriate stuff. Sounds like you're in male fail territory now, get used to it hon!
