Title: Hi...I'm kitty!
Post by: kittylover on August 18, 2014, 09:21:15 PM
I'm not really sure about my gender but I feel like I'm part male and part female. I'm 18 and going to college on friday....I want to major in neuroscience. I mostly like girls. some days I wish I could have hormones and surgery to become male but some days I like my body the way it is.  I found this forum while looking at stuff about being trans on the internet and thought I'd give it a try.

Nothing in life is cut and dry. We all need to explore feelings when they happen. I would suggest finding a gender therapist to work on where you might fit in the spectrum. There is no one size fits all.

Safe passage on your path
Izzy

Welcome to Susan's honey ;). First of all, be easy with yourself, life is a continuous discover and the standards are just.. well... hypothetic standards. life is not like math where everything fits. A gender therapist may help you for sure, I would advice to look for one. I have my therapist and the sessions are doing a lot to my auto-confidence and image of myself.

Also, remember that you gender is one thing, and your sexual orientation is another one, for me it was a bit hard to understand in the beginning but now I can see it more clearly.

Good luck and again, welcome to Susan's family Kitty (What a cute nick, by the way ::) )

Kitty

Welcome to Susans.  There is plenty of information and support from many great folk and fellow travellers.  Surprisingly few folk are 100% M or F.  A good gender therapist will be invaluable.  Some great forums including the non binary forum which may be of interest to you as you plot your course.

Safe travels

Aisla

My current boyfreind is an FTM.  I knew him before he transitioned as well.  He's pretty freakin' happy about it.  Seems to be enjoying his new found man strength.
