Title: *lol* my moustache fail
Post by: luna nyan on August 20, 2014, 07:26:44 AM
Apologies to any here who have facial hair as a trigger but I thought I'd just share one of those oddities in life.

I have a fancy dress party to go to soon, and I've been trying to figure out who to go as.  Dressing female is out - I'd do too good a job of it and there'd be too many questions involved as I do have hints of an actual figure when I wear a dress, and I am not out.

The character I thought of has a moustache.  I can't grow one anymore, haven't been able to for over 12 years.  Then I thought of using a false one.

That had me breaking into hysterics as thoughts of victor/Victoria came to mind, and how I would be trying to pull something out of the drag king books to do this.

Life can be really funny sometimes.

Haha!  Yes, I could but I'm known for being overly enthusiastic and authentic when it comes to cosplay.  Questions will fly as to why I didn't just grow a dirty mo.  :)

a bit like this funny thing that happened in an irc chat once. all the regulars there know me as a guy, only one of my friends there knew that i'm actually trans, meaning a guy with a female body. but it's not like that made me less of a guy.
and some times, guys like to have fun in anonymous chats, pretending they're girls. so some random dude who visited the channel hoping to... find a girl who'd send him pics, probably, fell victim to this trap. my friend was of course totally in on it, but he has some trouble with ocd, which nearly broke his mind. because what was i to him right then when we were just playing? a girl, who's actually a guy, pretending to be a girl? or a guy who's really a girl (but not in mind though), pretending to be a girl? or? what??? quite a bizarre moment.

i learned something funny though. it's actually ridiculously difficult to pretend to be a girl. only reason i get away with it irl, is this accursedly feminine body of mine.

Actually for me, IRC and MMORPGs pretty much helped me confirm I was trans.

I'm not out, but one of my guy friends made a passing comment that my online profile is disturbingly feminine.

We leak a bit no matter how hard we try.

my brother has perfectly come to terms with me being male online. would never dare refer to me as his "sister", not even if we get visitors when playing together on a minecraft server. or in a dp. and when others call me "cute", he can only ask "in what world?" the older members of family might be a little more difficult to convince later on.

and for me too, irc and more or less anonymous forum activity have confirmed to me that i'm more trans than not. mmorpgs could not, as i enjoy some role play. or, well... i did notice how good it felt to be taken for a guy even with a female character.

I have some I'd love to ditch, the hair that is.... but.... oh well....

Hey I like the profile comment, interesting.

A guy that's a girl playing a guy.  Shakespearean...?

If you cant grow facial hair, I suppose you could still grow a mustache but where...... oh dear did I say that?

Fiesty today.   Too much fun in the forest.  Here is the witch's broomstick, unused, perhaps you can hide it from them.....

he he cute little poneh unicorn

Nails out and staying sane.  You are both special....  :)

*lol* SJ,

I have one substantial hair on the right corner of my lip.   That's my moustache.  There's about a half dozen chin ones left, and I never developed side burns.

It'd be bad comedy to let that grow out.  :)

And yeah, a guy who's a girl, playing a guy.
To top it off once this was the situation:
A guy who's a girl, playing a guy playing a girl.
Seriously hard to pretend to be a campy drag queen.  Girls questioned why I could handle the heels and dress with feminine grace, and that was pre HRT.  Out of the question now.
