Title: Just got my ears pierced for the first time!
Post by: Kaylee Angelia on August 20, 2014, 07:32:44 PM

I didn't feel a thing with the right ear and only a tiny pain with the left. Electrolysis hurts much worse. I had to get smaller 3mm CZ's (I wanted 5mm) because I needed starter earrings with a long post but they're still pretty. After 6 weeks I'll go back and get the larger ones I wanted. :)
The girl who was helping me asked me why I was getting my ears pierced and I told her that I was transitioning. She smiled and was genuinely happy for me and told me about someone she just pierced a few days ago who was also transitioning. She told me how she was able to help her find starter earrings to match the streak of purple in her hair so it was a really nice experience.
I totally love my new earrings. :)

You will love having your ears pierced. I had mine done in 1980 at Casa Susana (associated with Transvestia by Virginia Prince)in the Catskills by another TG . My second piercings(2 holes each ear) occurred in 1992 at an electrolysis store. However I didn't use these last 2 so they healed up. Believe it or not I could fall asleep when electrolysis was done. You will also be glad when the beard is gone.

YaY piercings!! Which means more accessories :D
I'd like to get both of my ears pierced again, in addition to my pair of 00g that I'm currently at. Once I flatten this tummy, I'm going to reward myself by getting my naval pierced. And once I get rid of the last of my male/andro clothes, I'm going to get a Monroe. Then on to the ink
I don't wanna get too carried away though :icon_writers_block: (:

Madeline:
I don't know know what a Monroe is. But Please don't ink your beautiful body and put poison in your skin(the ink) . To my GG friends and I , it detracts from your body and puts poison in your system. Years from now you may regret having inked your body as others have done. If you decide to do it, at least don't put any names on you as relationships brake up.

A Monroe is named after her beauty mark. I'm aiming for the upper right lip.
As far as tattoos, I exist in this life in a vessel that is a canvas. As a handsome hunk once said, "My body is my journal, and my tattoos are my story." -Johnny Depp
And poison? Sounds a tad bit uneducated. Fast food? Now that's poison, and I refuse to touch it. Selling meat to people after it has been deemed unfit for human consumption, and then blasting it with chemicals to meet the bar..? GMO foods? Pesticides and other known harmful chemicals are sprayed out of military jets on a constant basis.. Drilling for oil is poisoning our planet. Rant rant rant, rant.. Rant rant. With that, of course, if you don't go to a reputable artist, then chances are you will get an infection and need to amputate a limb. Choose wisely. The waiting list for my artist is a min of 6 months, just sayin'
Much love,
-Maddie
Ps.
My next tattoo will outline the 8 year transits of Venus (towards the back of my left hip where I do my injections)

You don't like tattoos, cool. But don't judge those that choose to be inked. My tattoo is a memorial to my deceased partner - I know I will have no regrets about it.

I won't judge those with tattoos, but I can't stand them and they're right up there with smoking as the biggest turn offs for me
as for your ears, i remember doing my own all them years ago, never had an issue with them.
earrings help so much with passing as well.

A friend of mine has a single tattoo, like you have as a memorial for a deceased partner which you proudly display to others. What is a turn off is when people have gone overboard and their entire body is covered.
It is our belief that the more ink you put in your body , you are not helping your body to stay healthy.
Like I wish I had never got fat where I have to deal with diabetes, heart trouble, leg ulcers.
If people do not want to accept our belief , we will accept that. Everyone has a right to do whatever makes them happy.

Actually, I don't display it all that much at all. It was something I did for me.. (And her.)
And, honestly, I've done far, far worse things to my body over the years..

Yeah, I'm so looking forward to having all the facial hair gone...and getting used to electrolysis. :)

I don't know if I'll get anymore piercings but I've wanted a tattoo for years. The interesting thing is even though I've realized that I'm female and am transitioning the tattoo I have in mind hasn't changed. It has to do with my life and how I'm constantly transforming.

Congrats on the Ears! I got mine done in february by a piercer who's a friend of my wife. I didn't even know I was going to do it (I was wanting to, though) until i got notified to show up at the tattoo parlor where she works to get my ears pierced. I was shocked and ecstatic. The piercer knew about me and was awesome! I had steel polished hoops to start, but now wear studs in a Morrigan's Raven pattern on a daily basis for work.
I've been looking at tattoos as well. I want something for my daughters and something to represent my transition/gaining wings/etc. Nothing too major, but something that's important and meaningful to me. and probably not visible in normal clothes (jeans/t-shirt).

I got mine pierced early this year. Lemme tell ya, I get the quick :icon_eek: glance from people, especially working in a business culture invironment. I'm in a real andro/gay look phase right now, and I honestly love that I can shock the ->-bleeped-<- out of some people and I know it.

I hope you don't mind a comment from someone who has not started transitioning yet but Congratulations. Back in high school a couple years back i pierced my ear lobes and my cartilage. I had not yet let myself believe i wanted to transition but i was always jealous of girls earrings. I was asked why i did it and my only answer that i was ever able to sum up was because. They have all since healed since i started working at our school board as a computer tech. If i would have known i would only be there less than a year i would have kept them in.

That's what I was going for! I wanted the 5mm CZ's so it would grab people's attention and make a statement. Unfortunately I have "thick" ear lobes (sigh) so had to go with the 3mm CZ's with the long posts. Six weeks from now though...hehehe >:-)

Oh thank you.
I don't mind at all Sweetie and in this instance you get a second chance to have a "first." :)
This time when you get your ears pierced you'll be able to get them pierced not only as the beautiful Trans woman that you were but as the beautiful Trans woman you are and now "know" you are! Enjoy it Sweetie and soak up every bit of the right of passage that it is!
Let us know when you do so we can congratulate you. :)

I had mine pierced by my aunt when I was about 4, but they healed up. My aunt was super awesome. I'm thinking about getting them pierced again.
