Oh, how horrible. He might have killed himself because he couldn't stand his own body dysphoria. I'm sure it ran deeper than that, but what a shame, because there are so many ways to treat body dysphoria.

When is it going to end? It may have been an accident or at least I hope so anyway. ??? We have lost way too many. It really hit me with Nero's passing, natural, accidental or intentional. This is really unacceptable for so many of us to go so young with so much potential. It is unacceptable for any of us to go for anything other than natural causes. :embarrassed:

With out support from family and help from Doctors, therapist and most of all the Community it does get dark fast.

Emotional pain as we all know is hard to deal with, add on top depression and anxiety.

Every time i hear this or get news of someone i know i feel that i have failed and the community as a whole has failed.

No one should feel there is not happiness around the darkness.

My Kryptonite that pulls me to my knees.

RIP my Brother.

i think all teenagers transgendered or not should have a therapist it really should be a requirement for entering high school lol adolescence its the most emotional confusing stressful time in a persons life and suicide rates of people in this age group is a lot higher . the article noted how supportive everyone at the school was and that was probabally helpful to him in sure and schools and other places are becoming more accepting which is great and helpful of course but its not going to eliminate all the feelings and insecurities and self perception and depression issues a person has . all transgendered teens should be in therapy social acceptance is not enough . if he had issues with depression "in the past" as the article states he should have had ongoing therapy throughout his teen years depression is not going to magically go away during adolescence if anything it will get worse or stay the same . :-\

Riley is a nice name. It's hard to be a teenager in any situation, and being transgender makes it so much harder. I'm sorry he wasn't able to stay. I hope other trans people around him don't mimic his actions.
