Title: Hi!

Hi everyone, I've been reading this forum for a while now but I never signed up. I tend to read forums more than I do post on them but I decided to finally sign up tonight. I've recently figured out that I think I'm transgender(MTF, pre-everything). I say think because I have some doubts but, I'm mainly chalking that up to my constant doubt of everything I do because, I tend to do that and the idea of living as a man sounds awful to me. I've always liked the typically "girly" things growing up and often thought I would rather be female.
My ultimate goal is to be on hormones and full time by my next birthday, a little less than a year from now. The problem with that is that I am out to no one but myself as of now. So that makes it kind of hard. Which is why I plan one coming out to a few people soon. I have a bunch of questions, so expect to see me around asking for advice or just commenting. Sorry for the sort of long post but, typing it out is sort of therapeutic. So..... Hi! :)

Hey Ashtyn
Welcome to Susan's :) Great to have you here - looking forward to seeing you around the forum.
It's quite normal and common to have plenty of doubts and questions at this stage of the process. Finding a good counsellor, especially one with gender experience would be a very handy first step. As for being out to everyone, one step at a time - working out how you feel about your identity and what you plan to do is a good first step... :)

Welcome Ashtyn to the family,
Well first big step is coming here and posting.
Work on finding a gender therapist is a great idea and i would with them on coming out.
I find putting a cart before a horse can lead to troubles if you are still questioning.
So again welcome and you should find what you seek in all the topics.

Hi Ashtyn
Welcome to Susan's. This really is a great place, no matter what point you are in your journey.
Join the conversations, ask questions. And like everything you do in life, the more you put in, the more you get out.
Hugs
Julia

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and the advice :) While I do definitely want to go to a counselor(I even have one picked out) I need to come out to mom to be able to do that as I need her consent and a ride to the therapist, so I'm going to have to wait a little while before I can go to one. So until then I'm just going to be absorbing as much info and advice as I can :)
