Title: Labia Minora joint together - not opening… 2 months + post op. Please advise

It has been more than 2 months recovery for me - however, my clitoris still looks underdeveloped - the two sides are joint together in the middle, and I cannot see the distinctive clitoris hood, clit etc..
Please advise - most concerned about the fact that the labia minora isn't opening (the flesh seems to have become numb and joint together) and the clitoris hood and clitoris is not clear at all.
Thank you :C (wish I could post photos...)

It sounds like you need to visit your surgeon.

UNFORTUNATELY I'M HAVING THE SAME F PROBLEM! >:(
Delving into the post-op section history pages I saw a similar post and the title was 'fused inner labias' or something. To be honest I'm not really that bothered about it, so far no guys told me my vagina looks fake cos of that 'fusion'. Let's wait for the experienced post ops for answer. meanwhile let me go and delve and dig into that thread and see if I find it again...

It can be a common problem if when healing it is not kept worked open when after care cleaning the folds.
Send pictures to the nurses and you might need to connect back to the surgeons for revision.
Seems to happen more with the one step more.
My advice.

To what I remember both Chettawut and the nurse See told me NOT to meddle nor try to spread the inner labias until 3 months. I'm now 3 months post op and it's still fused. I CAN spread it if I want to and it DOES open however it re-closes itself back like a flowers' petals closing and I don't see my clit inside neither, I see white films, a layer of white thing of I dunno what. I wonder if it's that they call granulation they are talking in the other post. To what I understood this fusion is caused by oversensivity of our skin and a revision should be done. Oh f it I have no money to go back to Thailand just for that, I'll just leave it as it is. Guys don't bother much about that anyways so I would care even less, they are just into the hole.

There is no specific standard and even cis girls are different. I don't see where it would make any difference if it is open to everything (clitoris, urethra, and vagina) and all are functional.

Chettawut and Sri both advised me not to touch - but I think they mean more about not "playing around" rather than not gently touching With clean cotton wool swipes. As the stitches have slowly been disolving and inflammation is going down it is nice to be able to see what there is burried beneath. However I will be going to my gyno for a checkup soon and get a recommendation then. He can perform minor things if necessary.
I also have my private insurance policy / a lump sum I saved on my account to pay for any return ticket and hotel.

Most cis women I've been with, their labia are naturally closed. They're not fused, in that you can open them, but their natural state is closed so that you cannot see the clitoris.

My clitoris was fairly well buried in swollen tissue for nearly 11 months and only became prominent and "free standing" about that time, it also became pleasantly sensitive about then. If the labia can be pried apart by a gentle wash cloth and cleaned a bit, they have not "fused" or stuck together. I did have two of my sutures in that area around longer than their friends had been, and I gave them an occasional tug when I aimed the dilator a bit wrong.
I agree that you may want to take some pictures and e-mail them to your surgeon, but chances are better than even, you will be told to calm down and keep your healing schedule with a clear mind.

Mine, unfortunately, cannot be pried... my mum (also my bestfriend) desperately tried to do that... she was the one who pointed out that my labia minora was weird initially. I disregarded it because I have been sending consistent photos to Asclepiade (the recovery centre at Brassard) who have replied me saying that it was "normal recovery" - only to have them reply me now that it is a matter that may need revision and they are in the process of contacting Brassard/Belanger...
Hopefully it really isn't that big of an issue - dilation and urination are doing really well nevertheless (straight stream on most occassions and last dot on the soulsource).
Trying to stay positive - prayers are welcomed!!

Yeah, being *completely* unable to separate them is not normal (and I wonder if Brassard etc. assumed from the photos that it was possible to open them). Hopefully it'll be a pretty straightforward revision. Definitely good thoughts for you!
But as others have said, the labia should kind of drape together naturally when not being parted. It's not out of the realm of normal in cis women for them to fall open, but it's uncommon. So don't be shocked if it looks similar "at rest" even after a revision, I guess.

I have a lot of contact with some of the Montreal girls,
Not sure if it is a change in the way they now do there labia, but seems a few of the recent girls are having same issues or if it comes from there after care instructions lack of information?
I guess maybe being i have read and talked to soooooo many girls who have had there GCS that i took extra care to make sure i kept that area cleaned between the folds.
Anyway as long it is a external revision it will be a minor revision that might even just be done under a local?
I will say that it seems the more recent girls are getting a little more depth then was when i had mine by about 1/2 a inch.

Yeah I have 6.5 inch depth if Im not wrong - and I have to be TMI, I am asian and I had a tiny you know what lol.
I'm quite bombed to be honest by this issue... but im really most concerned about functionality - and it seems I am able to sensate mostly...
I was quite cautious about cleaning my flaps ... but I really thought that it was just swelling and healing up therefore I did not touch the area much... quite frankly I always believe that I should touch the healing parts as little as possible therefore I didn't really play around with the sutures or wounds at all.
I would mostly spray the area clean with water and some soap gently that's all... still waiting a reply from asclepiade - will inform this posts on how things go...
If any of the recent Dr. B girls reply you Izzy, would really appreciate you to post their comments here! Thank you so much!

If I remember you where there when Zoe was there and you are about 2 1/2 months.
Just relax some and let the landscape settle out with healing. Then later work on getting the issues that might still be there taken care of.
You will be surprised what time and less swelling can do.
Hugs

Thanks Izzy
Update: I feel quite ashamed to be posting this as a devout Christian lol... but anyhus, I was quite panicky about the results of the surgery after finding this "flaw" out... so I was concerned as to how sensate my vagina was.
Long story short, went onto one of those video chats and masturbated (i never masturbated the same way a guy did even pre-op, I always put the thing between my legs and applied pressure to the nerves I knew would set me off) the same way I did pre-op... it worked! And wow omg... the sensation was the same, and so was the fluid!! It came somewhere from my vagina cavity (maybe where the urethra is placed) and lubricated the entire vaginal wall. I am truly amazed at how the surgery has turned out in terms of function...
somewhere at the back of my head I always knew it would be able to orgasm because I had those tingly sensations whenever my ex-bf touched me when he flew to Asia to see me last week... I do regret my decision to do something that I shouldn't have done in my eyes, but nonetheless... happy... lol... happy I decided to test it out... so for those who are worried about Dr. B giving sensate with this issue - it is still functional!
Sigh just wish it look like a proper vulva!
