I have been living full time for over 17 years now. And throughout that time i have read many tucking method ranging from ineffective to expensive to plain ridiculous. One of the most frequently mentioned one is *drum roll* Duct Tape.

Now a little trigger warning, for this explanation I will use actual words when they are needed for clarity.

Ok lets take this into context :
One roll lets say each 3 days, if used sparingly. So about 120 rolls a year at about 6$ a piece so 720$ roughly. Times lets say my timeline of fulltime so 17. So for me over 12 tousand dollars. Already sounds funny hun?

Now lets add the YYYYYYYYYOOOOOOOOUUUUCCCCCHHHHH factor and this:
your skin is constantly under a substance that does not breath so imagine the damage you are causding down there. Don't forget this thing you are tucking is your future vj.

Now here is my method I have been using for nearly 2 decades now. Keep in mind my male parts are a) big b) way up front and center and c) very sweaty . Yet I can wear thight thight leggings without ANY issues.

What you need

1) a purse with a long adjustable string
2) lots of thight panties, not choking thight just body conforming thight. Hanes and fruit of the looms are good types

Procedure

Put on two pairs of panties. Yes two, one on top the other. This will create a very strong hold on you.
Take your penis and tuck it far in between your buttocks.
Pull your scrotum from under your penis, out and upwards, leaving as little skin as possible from under the penis. You may have to adjust things a little but when you are done everything will be nice and tucked away.

Slipping

Sweat and erections are your enemy. Your thight underwear is helping here, but it WILL happen, things will slip up front and center making the dreaded bulge. No fear. Remember that purse, which you of course made sure to adjust  to crotch height so that when slipping happens, you simply slide the purse in front calmly go find the ladies room and rearrange things.

So this is it, simple cheap and works very well.

Been doing it for as year with no issue. Just make sure to wash things down there daily.

I personally wear a gaff (special g-string) and then a pair of control panties on top, never slips and flattens everything so I'm safe to wear yoga pants when I want. Otherwise the method is the same and I gave up on tape, it left my skin raw from the tearing.

I usually tape but use 3M for the strength of the adhesive. Occasionally I'll use duct tape. I have tried the tight undies route but sadly things don't work out for me. Instead of slipping out, the turtle pops back into the shell so to speak. Thankfully once everything does roll up and it hits the tape it stops. To the question of do I sleep like that, yes I do. I tuck everything away once I dry off after my shower.

That is funny, gorilla tape holds & never lets go. I cannot do it any more & so glad, my things have shrunk & not much to hide anyway but I do remember the gorilla tape deal. Once I was taped nice, with all body hair removed & I so remember the anal sex, my man was so excited & he really enjoyed himself & so did I.  That was just so great!!!!

I never felt right just tucking, as for skin ripping or getting raw, dissolve it saved me from ripping the skin when taking it off, I used to wash and look after it each night when showering/bath and then out of it with body lotion.

OMG, I'm so sorry...I'm really new to this and I'm hoping to start cross dressing soon but..."duct tape?" Really?

ok am I the only one that puts on normal panties and is fine?  As long as it's not sheer leggings.  A full on tuck is pointless.  heck I went out the other day in this bohimian skirt and I wasn't wearing any undies. xD  No one can tell girls.  don't worry so much.

I agree, that is just too much work. In due time everything will be removed anyway so why bother. I've tucked a lot but normally I tie my little t things tight then tape them way underneath, since my penis is small is usually shrinks away & I look very nice in tight jeans. Afterwards it just feels normal & sometimes I would go all day & not even think about it.

I was a lot younger than most transpeople at the time and wanted to fit in with what I wore, in the end I could do it in a few minutes and didn't notice it during the day

When I started out I was really unhappy.  So I was using medical tape.  A whole big complicated affair.  took 30 minutes and I HAD to sit to pee in it.  But it was something I could do to be feminine.  Now that I'm confident in my femininity, it's not a big deal anymore.  So for you new girls.  Just remember that tucking isn't a big deal.  But if you feel you need to do it.  you go right on and do it :D

I have Gorilla tape, but ah.. I certainly don't use it downstairs. It's great for creating and enhancing cleavage though :D

As for captain one-eye and his salty crew, I tuck them with a homemade gaff. And it's about as cheap as you get--just the waistband of some nylons and the tube from a tube sock.

I just wear stretchy boy shorts and presto it keeps everything in place. Pre-hrt tucking was hell, now two and a half years of hrt makes it soo easy now.

I have so much trouble tucking...I have done the tape route once, but it still didn't work out right. I am going to have to rely on a gaff for now...but I have heard of two different types of gaff. Both tend to be G-strings..but one of them is just a wide G-string, the other has a sort of pocket that you put your thing in, and then pull back and fasten with a button or something like that. I would like to know where to get one of the second ones from, as again I have tried the first, but it just didn't work right for me.

I just do the double panty method. No slip ups yet even in skirts. No fuss, easily reapplied, no cost

I never bothered with "real" tucking, where you move the testicles up and all that. (I just bought clothes that weren't skintight. I admit it *is* nice to be able to wear tight jeans or a clingy skirt, but there were plenty of options besides that.)

I did, however, use a plain old girdle for special occasions. One of the "control" type that went partway down the legs, and had a big reinforced crotch area. It was possible to basically use that crotch as a "shelf" to rest the bits on, and although it moved my visible crotch area down a bit, that wouldn't matter once I had the tight skirt on. Cost about $10, and lasted me years.

I wear normal panties, the testes go up inside of me and the rest I tuck, never had a problem. I wear leggings a lot too and am very smooth. Taping just seems like a hassle but maybe it's necessary if there is a size issue I guess. Maybe because I'm tiny, it make it easier.

stretchy bike shorts are your friend. They aren't pretty, but I mean, just sorta fold everything up between your legs, pull them up, you are good to go. most of the time I don't even tuck when wearing them, and you can't tell through my clothes anyways.

All this discussion about tucking & duck tape made me want to do a little tucking today. My little T things have shrunk nicely however something is still down there so I tie the things together then tape the things way back underneath without touching the P thing so I can pee anytime. It works well & actually is quite comfortable. It's not as nice as having them removed which will be a most pleasant day but it's a lot smother if wearing tight shorts or pants. Have fun girl friends.
