i got told my t levels are way too high, so we will be decreasing the dose. i'm curious, that happen to anyone? did you notice anything before you were told? did you notice anything after you reduced your dosage?

and since I'm asking all these questions... what's the meaning of life in 20 words or less. lol

I was told that my level was "almost" too high and asked to decrease my dosage. My level was still within normal range, just close to the upper line. I thought it was ok since I'm relatively young and should have a high level and I was on a liw dosage already, but I liked my doctor and didn't want to upset her.

My level was high when I started, with a low dose that my doc then lowered a bit more. It stayed high for another couple of months, then dropped into the normal range. The only symptom I had was some nipple soreness in the first month or so. After that I seemed OK with the high level, and I have mixed feelings about its having tapered off -- things are changing pretty slowly as it is. On the other hand, that little vial lasts a long time with such a low dose...

As to the high T level, there was someone here who had high levels and slow changes, when the dose was reduced they did well. I hope they read this thread and reply themselves.

yeah the illogical part of my brain is saying "no, I don't want to decrease T i just got on it!" but my logical side is hoping this will mean changes start coming faster

That's good to know.

T effects your hemoglobin. To high doses and t levels is to high hemoglobin blood counts levels. That's a bad thing.

Yes. My levels were double where they should have been and they decreased my dose to half. Before the decrease I was pretty oily, I always had a weird smell and I had weird energy levels, probably due to my body temperature being off. The decrease made me feel much better.

It wasn't my T levels directly, but I had high potassium. What I did was switch from biweekly injections to weekly injections. I took my initial dose halved it and then floored the volume until it was on a tick mark. For example take 500/2 = 250 then floor 250 = 200. Obviously these aren't dosages, but an example of the math. I talked to my doctor about these changes before hand as stopping T would have been too hard for me to deal with.

My T levels at my trough are a little low, but overall my energy is good.
