Hi, my name is Ian, I'm a 21 year old trans guy studying creative writing in Illinois.
I've joined-- or maybe rejoined, I couldn't find my original account but that doesn't mean it never existed especially since I'm like 112% sure I've signed up for Susan's before-- because today I called and scheduled both of the necessary appointments to start on testosterone with the Howard Brown Health Center in Chicago. In about three weeks (THREE WEEKS ONLY THREE WEEKS WOW) I will be on the road to Chicago to finally, finally start physically transitioning. It has been a long journey so far and I'd love to make some more friends as I continue forward :)
And, likely, some support for when the inevitable freakouts hit. Don't get me wrong, I've been sure I've wanted to physically transition since I was eighteen, but monumental life decisions equal equally monumental anxiety attacks in ianland.

Hey Ian, welcome, or welcome back should I say? :P That sounds really great, I'm happy for you! I'm sure it's been a long and tiring road for you. You definitely have all of our support here should you ever need it. Good luck and take care. :)

A lot more posts have been made since your last visit for sure.
Wow, adding steps in our path walk are always so great. Embrace them and remember those moments and use them as tools when you have not so good days.
Just keep moving forward to where you feel you must. Your soul will never lie to you.
