Title: Any decent videos to train your female voice?

Hi, I've been searching on youtube for videos about developing a female voice, but I find it very difficult to actually get a natural sounding voice. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for either tutorials/videos so I can hopefully improve my voice. Many thanks :)

I met Kathe, the speech therapist show in the link, at Southern Comfort Conference in Atlanta. I took two of her classes and they really helped get me started. She has video classes for sale as well as if you live in Denver her office is there.

This page has a lot of good starter advice as well. I use some of it as a daily practice routine.

Lastly there's some good videos on you tube of how to raise and lower your singing voice without breaking. I think it's called "mid voice" or middle voice for that break that happens between octaves.

I think the CANDIFLA videos on youtube are very helpful.

I can't speak from experience, since I've yet to train mine, but one person whose voice I really admire is http://youtube.com/violet4151 She's done a few videos about it.

Thanks a lot Christine, Suzi and Pikachu! I will check out those videos and continue practicing.
Wasn't there some place on here that I could upload a voice sample to and let people give their opinions of it?

+1 for CandiFLA. She has a really natural sounding voice, and I think she does a good job of explaining (in multiple videos) how she got there. I'd start with this one. (http://youtu.be/qbaj4tIX1kw?list=UUIUQw0IUKOQYavxmUThdVFQ)

I havee to agree about CandiFLA. Her videos are so very good and she's so funny! She has a number of videos relating to her transition that are a real pleasure to watch. She had SRS not long ago, but for some reason has dropped off the net. Can't find her anywhere. I truly hope she is doing alright.

Katherine, at the time she was making those videos, she wasn't even full time yet. So I just figured that she got into her life as a woman and is trying to blend in. If anyone could go stealth it would be her.
I'm just glad she left the videos up and hasn't tried to erase the past, as some others have done.

Hi Katie,
Yes, I'm aware she wasn't full time when she made many of her videos, to include the voice videos. She did, however, make a video of her srs, or at least a video at the time of her srs in Thailand. Her last video was late in 2013. I've read a disturbing post regarding her absence and hope there is no truth to it. I hope she is well and if she's gone stealth I hope she's happy.
