I know that most of you aren't doctors and don't have an answer to this... But a girl can hope, eh?
Basically, I have a big ol' obvious hole right smack in the middle of my chest. My doctor wants me to get surgery to fix it.
So, I was wondering, does anyone know if a chest that caves in would effect breast growth? Of course, I don't expect to even be on HRT anytime soon,But the holes only going to get worse. Deeper, bigger, worse. Oh, it also impales my lung so my breathing sucks, which surprisingly, I'm fine with. It gets me out of playing sports. Though it does suck having to breath manually, always focusing on breathing instead of it being automatic like everyone else.

Long ago, in the dawn of time, I was involved with someone who had a depressed sternum, if that's what you're describing. She had a C cup on one side, an A cup on the other. So I guess it can affect breast growth, but -- not consistently.

I have pectus excavatum. I believe I got it from another disease of mine, Elhers Danlos Syndrome. It's a side effect of EDS, I believe.

Wow, that's tough, iiMTF. If it affects your breathing that much, I'd think you'd want to have it corrected surgically, although it does sound like that might be a pretty major thing.
As far as I can tell from a quick Google search, p.e. is definitely what my girlfriend had going -- she just never called it that. She was lucky, though, in that it didn't affect her heart and lungs. She just had the hole in her chest, and those mismatched breasts.

My ex had that, but she developed just fine. Embarrassed to say, but no different from her sister who had no "chest problems"

I've been thinking about the surgery. It'd really help, but:
A. I HATE SURGERY!!!!
B. I'm not sure about them operating around my lungs... Like, they're literally IMPALED.
C. I sort of like the hole :3
D. I HATE SURGERY!!!!
I'm worried that if I don't get the procedure, something bad will happen. It's getting bigger and worse by the day.
Oh, also, I don't think I've mentioned... I HATE SURGERY!!!!
