Hello everyone!
This is my first post but I have been visiting this site for quite some time now. Even on-line I feel quite shy. I am trans (mtf) and finally admitted it to myself about a year ago. Reading thru your posts is very comforting. Many of your stories are very much like my own. It is nice to know there are others out there.
I have kept this bottled up my entire life. Though I have been caught cross-dressing several times throughout my life, I never managed to admit it to myself or anyone else. Things have changed over the past year and I have been more open with my wife who has been very supportive. Now I get to dress and feel myself at home, it has helped to raise my spirits.
There is a local support group meeting this week and I plan to start visiting with them. Aside from that, I have been seeing a therapist for almost a year now and we're talking to my primary care provider about plans for the future.
Things were really tough emotionally, at first, but it's getting better.
I look forward to sharing more with y'all in the future.
Cheers!

Therapy and support groups are great first steps! It's great that your wife has been so supportive, you're very lucky :)
Welcome to Susan's family, I'll look forward to seeing you around

Shyness is over rated. I'm glad that you are starting to share your story. We all begin writing tentatively. Some, like me, eventually make it tough to get a word in edgewise. Regardless of where your path takes you on this journey, you have a lot to offer, and a lot to receive here.
Peace,
Julie

Welcome to Susan's family
We all take things a day at a time and a step at a time. Glad you have a therapist and PCP that seems to be understanding. Relax as much as you can and plan out where your see yourself a week, month, 6 months and year out. Not to say you will reach all these plans but it does give you something to work at breaking down the social barriers.
In the meantime pull up a chair and give a look over the following links for the site info...(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sherv.net%2Fcm%2Femoticons%2Fobject%2Fchair-3-smiley-emoticon-emoji.png&hash=f6de189a088518c5de131e0c9ce29661e7a52a55) (http://www.sherv.net/)
