Title: Breathing and male/female voice

Hi girls.
I wanted to ask something. Do you notice a difference between man's breathing and woman's breathing? Because I honestly do. There's differences in pitch at least. This was after I saw a transgender woman youtube who had a feminine beautiful trained voice, but when she breathed it sounded masculine. Though I don't really believe this would clock her, cuz she was feminine in every way, but it just left me wondering. Is it possible to train your breathing to sound more feminine? Does normal relaxed breathing reveal your true voice's pitch? I know this may seem creepy or scary, but I breathed normally and relaxed, actually with my head slightly tilted back so it'd be totally relaxed, in these recordings I will post and I just wanted to know if they sounded feminine.

They all definitely sound feminine to me! I wouldn't worry about it too much, though certainly is very interesting. Sorry if this doesn't help...hopefully others more knowledgeable will be able to be of more help to you...
Just out of interest would you mind posting that youtube video you mentioned before? Just curious. Definitely will keep it in mind from now on, perhaps I'll record my own breathing, to compare...

Okay, thank you :) this is the video. Her voice is pure magic. But when she breathed, she sounded masculine. But I notice every little detail anyway so maybe I'm not the best person to judge.

I can hear what you mean, at about 1.08/9 and 2.40/1 are examples when she breathes in. I think it's definitely something can gather opinions on, because it's quite difficult to tell as it's quite subjective...it's kind of like something I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't said, though once it is said that's when you can sort of hear the difference, at least me anyway, definitely need more opinions.
But those ones of you breathing, I would have definitely said they were feminine, so as I say I wouldn't worry too much in that sense. I'll definitely try to look at/record my own breathing, see how that sounds.
