A lot of trans guys get uncomfortable about their hips. I deal with it by exercising. Running/biking to get rid of the extra fat, and pull ups to build up the lats. Big lats help hide wide hips.

Agreed on the clothes. I wear my pants as low on my hips as I can. Almost sagging but not quite. It takes the focus away from my actual hips and gives a more slimmed down appearance.

I sag my pants somewhat. It helps to wear pants that are a bit too big. Don't tuck your shirt unless you have to. If you have extra fat in the hip area work out to trim it down.

I make sure my clothes fit me well. Some cisguys have wide hips too so if I feel bad then I remind myself of that.

Truth, some of my male cousins have hips as wide if not wider than mine.

I second the pants-sagging slightly. It seems to work pretty well. It can be tricky to pick out pants and shirts that are loose but not too loose but enough time in the fitting room and you'll figure it out.

I feel your pain on big thighs. Mine are huge because I bike instead of driving.  Unfortunately it is not possible to remove fat from a particular part of your body, but remember some cis men have big thighs too. I mean, sprinters are pretty manly, right? Also as Kam said above you can make parts of your upper body more muscular so they are proportionate to your lower body. In addition to working your last definitely be sure to hit all sides of your deltoids.

Any other exercises that are super good for lats?

I agree that wearing your pants / shorts low on your hips works well.
Do remember that lots of cis guys have hips / butts that may be considered "big"--so don't despair--it's not just us transguys!

Lat raises! They're nice and simple. http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/DeltoidLateral/DBLateralRaise.html (http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/DeltoidLateral/DBLateralRaise.html)

I feel uncomfortable around that area as well, but not for the reasons you would think as a transman.
As a little kid, I would wear my jeans around my hips, not my waist. My jeans would mostly be a little too tight for me.
After extensive wearing of these pants, my hips began to be squeezed into an unnatural shape and it hasn't gone away since.

Now my hips have an strange dip in them...
I'm embarrassed to look at it even today and I regret wearing my pants so low
(I wore them low on my hips because I didn't want to have high-water pants and be made fun of by the kids at school.) :(

I know it's tough to accept some parts of the body we've been given.
I look at it as something I have that makes me unique... even for all the other parts of my body that make me uncomfortable.

My hips (and butt) also bother me. I agree with what the other guys said. Especially making sure pants fit that area well. I also feel better if my shirt helps mask it. I've also noticed that keeping good posture hides it. I know it's tempting to hunch over to try and hide one's chest, but I find my shape is more masculine looking if I stand up straight.

I pull my binder all the way down to my thighs so it covers it up and I avoid clothing that fit perfectly and wear slightly baggy than what my figure is.
