Patience is key... Patience is key... Patience is key...
AGH, I'M GOING TO FREAKING BREAK SOMETHING!
Unless I can find a doctor that would do it earlier instead of farther off, I have to wait six darn years to start HRT. Six years!! I'm hoping to get on blockers until then, but seriously. I am one of the least patient people in the world. SIX YEARS?! For the thing most important to me in the world?! Do these doctors not freaking get it?! AGH!!!!!!! GIVE ME SOMETHING TO BREAK!! I SHOULD PROBABLY AIM AWAY FROM MY LAPTOP!!! ARG!!!
Patience is key...
Welp, time to get comfortable. I'll be here awhile.

P.S. If you didn't understand, this is a cry for help. Please. Help. Me. I need you guys and girls right now.
P.P.S. Like, seriously.
P.P.P.S. Like, SERIOUSLY.

Ah, wait... I got a bit more coming...
A gender therapist I'm considering seeing replied to my e-mail (finally, I sent it on Thursday last week!). But he said that blockers probably WON'T be supplied either. WHAT THE HECK?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Do I just live in Let's Screw Transsexuals, USA?!?!?!?!
Ugh!! O.o

May I ask, are there any other endo's in your area? 6 years sounds like a ridiculous wait. There has got to be someone within your area, even if it is a short distance away, that accepts trans patients. Have you looked into informed consent clinics too? Sorry you are going through this and hope you find a solution to it. In any case, I must believe there is a way to start with a trans friendly therapist after you can acquire the letter and that certainly shouldn't take 6 years if you qualify for treatment and see the right sort of therapist.
Am I missing something as to why you think it will be a 6 year wait?

Yes. I believe the therapist I've been contacting said that endo's in my area just don't offer HRT due to certain conditions. Sorry for the confusion with the word "doctors" :p

Gotcha, that does change things a bit. I'm not sure, but its true that your situation makes it harder. Sorry you are going through that.

Yes. A friend of mine that is actually younger than me is an mtf. She got HRT and is now post transition and full time. The problem is the area I live in. Contains a bunch of idiots who don't understand how much age can effect the situation.

It's amazing to me how many people around here were full time pre-HRT. So keep in mind that transition doesn't start with HRT.
You're fortunate that you haven't had too many of the ill-effects of testosterone yet. So there are quite a few things you can do now to begin transition. You can grow your hair, dress more feminine, learn how to do makeup, and work on socializing as a girl.
One word of caution though. School is rough for everyone. And being openly transgender could make it even more tough. If you can find a good group of understanding friends, you'll have a much easier time in school.
Have you tried talking with your school counselor?

Not a word with my school counselor, no. Though I plan on doing so. In terms of hair, I'm trying. It's hard to deny my mom cutting my hair... Last time I tried, I failed. Well, time to try harder.
"Good group of friends"
My only really close friends are boys, these ones typically don't like to hang around girls. *Sigh* I'm only close friends with one girl, but I have a crush on her and am pretty sure she likes me too.
About testosterone- that's why I'm trying to get on the darn blockers.

Not sure, amiga, I simply had my counselor suggest I ask the head doctor of the university clinic about HRT, and after talking with me, he grabbed some informed consent forms and I was on my way!

Please do not ask people for their age. This can be a problem for our younger members since they are not allowed to share that information.
