Title: Moving on

For the last month I've been serious about dating, but just a couple minutes ago, a guy told me he is not monogamous. I lost a really good guy yesterday, but he was a bit strange. I don't care anymore, I'm having SRS in four months! I'm just going to focus completely in school. The better of an education, equals a better job, equals more surgeries, which equals more guys after me!

Good positive attitude. :)
Invest in your future now and all the good things will fall into place sure enough.

Focusing on school is a good idea. Better yet if you can solely focus on it without distraction.

Wait... I'm confused... He told you he was non-monogamous and then what? You dumped him?
If that is correct, I guess you have the right if your partner wants a change in the relationship. As a polyamorous lady, I have to say that I feel more sorry for him. I guess that to me it seems a bit hypocritical that he accepted you for who you are, but when he opened up about who he is, it wasn't reciprocated.
Sorry to be a Debbie downer, I've just been in his shoes, though I was married!

Jazz, I made the decision myself that I simply did not want a relationship until I can complete GRS. I don't want the complications, etc. That's not to say something might not happen along the way, but I'm deliberately not putting myself out there or trying at all.
So I can understand that decision and wanting to get on with things so you can move forward.
