Title: Stuff Spouses/Significant Others Say

I saw a "stuff parents say" thread, and one other one that I can't remember, so I thought I would make another one so that I could share this gem:
"I support you being your true self, and not hiding who you really are."
Really? That's wonderful!
"When you bind your chest, you're hiding a part of who you really are."
...
Pardon me while I cradle my head in my hands for a moment.
What are some really uncool things your partners have said to you about your transition or identity?

Not said to me about me - but feels that it is totally wrong.

Mine said this to me today: "you don't even look like yourself anymore."
Me: "actually it's quite the opposite. I do."
Background: I'm grooming and dressing differently now and she's noticing. I badly do want to fully come out but lack the courage.

When I still didn't talk to anyone about my dysphoria, I told my partner that I would have loved to be born as a guy. They told me "I prefer you as a woman."
A lot of stuff has happened between us and now, they can't see me as a woman anymore and love me as a guy completely. They even told me it was kind of weird for them to see that I didn't have anything down there!

So very common among wives... "I'm NOT a lesbian!"
also, "If you PROMISE not to transition, maybe we can do something with the marriage." And when I finally told her I couldn't promise that I'd never transition she took that as I was going to transition immediately...
