Title: ANZPATH conference thank you!
Post by: Bols on October 06, 2014, 09:56:31 PM
I just wanted to thank the organisers and facilitators of the recent ANZPATH conference in Adelaide, South Australia.

It has meant the world to me to attend and to participate in my little way.

I will go as far as to say it has saved me.

Please also pass on my humble gratitude to others that may not be on this forum, and yet I also want to so dearly thank.

Evelyn

I second your thanks. Cindy you did a great job. We may have made the first step to seeking stakeholder engagement viz a national trans  alliance and strengthening the anzpath trans community relationship

Great folk, great agenda and a great future beckons

I completely agree. It was extremely informative from a professional perspective and affirming on a personal level. Yet scary as all hell too as it raised a few doubts about things, whilst also giving me a bit of hope concerning their being a community out there who share a common goal. I enjoyed meeting the few people I spoke with even if I hid in the corner a lot at lunch/tea times. It was nice however to hear and see that there are practitioners willing to take on board what was said. Overall, it was a wonderful few days and I would gladly attend again given the opportunity.

Ps Sorry if I never spoke to anyone, I am just very shy in social situations. However in case any one was curious I was the weird fat looking person called David with the glasses, dark hair and a shoulder bag full of work stuff.
