Ok this is funny but my skin has taken on a sweet sort of perfume smell since I've been on estrogen for about 4 months now and I can't stop smelling my skin. It's amazing what this stuff does. If anyone on estrogen hasn't sniffed yet give it a try. It's nice.

My arms don't smell like anything. :(
Maybe I washed it all off in the bubble bath earlier.

Quote from: Amy1988 on October 07, 2014, 06:25:31 PMHmmmmn, let's see (insert smelly armpit joke HERE!)^^___^^, lol! Seriously though, smelling feminine is one of the best things about transition. So in a way I know how you feel. I say "in a way" because I never had man smell. However I have noticed a sweetness increase in my natural smell, especially since starting injections. ;)

My smell changed one night when I was on it, the first week and that was an extremely low dose and no AA. I referred to it as the exorcism lol. I actually woke up in the middle of the night smelling myself. The next day in the gym I tried to sweat really hard just to smell myself. It even threw my cats for a loop. Thing is after a couple days it was gone and I had NO scent whatsoever. When I came off E I went back to the disgusting guy smell.

It's interesting that my wife used to tell me that I smelled awful, or even "off" as a guy. It's like I got extra rancid as a reaction to testorturone.
Now she loves the "new girl smell".

A few months ago my sense of smell strongly sharpened and I realized that the world is a really stinky place, most men included. Did *I* ever smell that bad?!?! Probably so :-\
I love being rid of the man funk. I've also noticed that my blouses don't stink at all at the end of the day and most times I can just hang them back up again for another wearing instead of wearing them out washing them. After the second wearing they hit the washer even though they still don't stink.
I haven't noticed that sweet smell that the OP mentioned, but my cat apparently has noticed a change in the way I smell - he's very affectionate now and wants to be near me whereas before he ignored me.

Haha, I really hope that my sense of smell unsharpens when I go on t. The world is a place of nightmarish smells as it is (I have a light form of mcs too, so that doesn't help).
I believe that females' sense of smell becomes more acute depending on where they are in the hormonal cycle - I think it has something to do with smelling who would best complement your own immune system when you, erm, reproduce.
So it makes perfect sense you experience this when you start hrt, gals :)

Transition is an olfactory splendor for me. I love the natural body odors people create and my sense of smell has been enhanced. My own smell has changed dramatically too and it is a much more feminine now. Life smells and I have a big nose perfect for enjoying it;-)

Puberty made me smell just awful. It was rancid and no amount of showering, soap or deodorant could get rid of it. All through my teen years and early 20s I was saddled with this. It was depressing for sure. But now it's sorta making sense.

Has anyone had a partner complain that you don't "smell like a man", anymore? Evidently, many hetero cis females prefer that smell! lol

I always took notice of their stink, even more so in the gym and I hate it. Some might say it´s musk and things like this but to me it´s ordinary stink :'(
My gif actually told me that she loves my odor because my body would smell like a flower meadow in springtime and that´s one of the more subliminal traits on me that made her falling in love with me

Nope. She didn't complain and probably didn't notice then. Cats did though.

OK, again it seems I am in the minority again but I love that male smell. Not the no shower in three days funky smell, but that musky smell that wreaks of maleness mixed with a little cologne and aftershave. Clean though. But if you are dirty and nasty, no thanx. Musky manly smell is noice but musty moldy and fungal smells sicken me. :P And please clean under the fingernails. ::) After a workout that is when it seems the strongest before all the nastiness has set in. After the nastiness has set in then it just stinks and the magic scent is lost. :P
Are you sure what you are smelling is not lotions and or other things we use to take care of our skin? Girly soaps seem to have a whole lot more perfumes and who doesn't use lotion? A must especially after shaving and keeping the skin soft and smooth. Or even after showering even to keep your skin moisturized. I mean a took a shower at 5 this morning and still smell the lotion and deodorant I use mixed with a little bit of soap smell. Even when I go outside and do stuff and sweat I smell the lotion and skin care products more than anything else. But no body hair for this girl to trap the stink.

I think I must be the only girl who thinks lotion feels icky. I never use it. My skin stays perfectly smooth without it, thank goodness.

OMG. I have to use lotion. If not even living in 80+% humidity almost year around my skin gets really dry. If I don't use lotion, my elbows get totally messed up. Not to mention my heels.
Yep you must be lucky. I could only wish.

Again, I am in the minority here. Well I always claimed to be the odd one out though. But with aftershave, the cheaper the better. Plus I don't want him smelling better than me. :P
