Susan's Place Transgender Resources

Hi!  I joined a couple of weeks ago, and have been waiting for a chance to jump in and say hello!

I'm a 40-ish guy who has known he was transgender since early childhood, but due to the way his life unfolded has been unable to transition...  In other words, the choices I have made have almost always been for someone else, not for myself. 

So, after so many years of struggling alone, I realized that I could not hide anymore and remain healthy and sane.  I sat down one day and started putting my "story" down on paper...I suppose in an attempt to somehow prove to myself that it was real, and therefore I was real.  One week and almost 17,000 words later, I am now focusing on how to make my future someplace where I can find some happiness while balancing the responsibilities I've built in the life I have now.  It's not easy.

Sorry to be so serious this morning!  Anyway, I am here looking for some friendship and support, and I hope I can contribute a little something myself to make things better for someone else.  I am truly excited to be here.

Hi, Devlyn Marie!  I'm currently in California.  If there is a way to attach documents, I might post my 16,800 words...  I know I haven't enough posts yet to have most of the forum privileges, though.
