Title: database for suicide prevention
Post by: Jo-is-amazing on October 11, 2014, 08:28:19 PM
Hi guys with Jess's last post it's become quite clear it's hard to help people on the edge by contacting the emergency services, especially considering in our community a legal name and preferred name as used on this site is not good enough information to give to the police.

So is there support for a database, held on a more secure site obviously, accessible only by admins containing local police numbers and maybe addresses or legal names (something that makes it easier for police station to find us should worse come to worse.

What do you all think, is this a good idea or a terrible one :/
Because the inability to help someone sucks

Ps I mean like any data, post code, university, the business you work for etc, just stuff that will make it easier for police

It's a great thought, but I have to think the liability issue would be a major stumbling block.

Hugs, Devlyn

Devlyn, you are back, great big hug.

I think it is a great idea. Perhaps via your computer id tag.

It isn't something I would enter my information into. I don't know how many people would be willing to do so.
