Title: Have your dreams changed???????

I bet I know what mostly were thinking when you read the title for this thread, nope not talking about my life aspirations of where I'd like to be, I'm talking about the dreams you had at night.
I am a late bloomer and just started on my estrogen and I find that my dreams at night have changed some more in line with my feminine side stand that I am starting my transition in my early 50s. I have a receding hairline, along with a nice bald spot which I refer to as my solar panel. Anyway I digress. Last night I had a dream that my hair was growing longer by the minute and could do nothing at all with it. Every time I tried to brush it or style it. By time I was done. My hair had grown longer and longer, never stopping was a never ending cycle. I guess on one side of the coin, I would love to have that problem. But on the other side of the coin was a nightmare. Not being able to do anything with my hair. LOL. Not that I have any in real life. Anyway! Just wondering if anybody else's dreams have changed since start in their HRT?
Hugs,
Melissa Ann

Heavens yes!! I now look for someone in them to slay the monsters instead of doing it myself. Might break a nail doing that! Just wait until the first, well, you know dream. I had always been with females and never dreamed about or fantasized about men. Now :embarrassed: I want to go back to sleep all day with some of the dream guys! I know what I prefer now!!! If real life is anything like the dreams, bring it on! ;)

I have nightmares when I dream 95% of the time. They aren't related to gender in any way, just past trauma that my subconscious never seems to want me to forget. I'm not on HRT yet, but any change would certainly be welcome in regards to dreams.

Mine are far more realistic now. Also, I dream I am in transition or even further along than I currently am. Pre transition, I was always make except one memorable time.

I have historically been kind of just a generic, genderless being in my dreams and that continues to be somewhat the case. What I am is never important to the story in the dream. Lately I have started having more and more where I'm distinctly female. And even a couple erotically themed ones, which is totally new. I've literally NEVER had erotic dreams in my life until last week.
The biggest change on HRT is that I remember much more of what I dream and it seems to happen more often.
My dreams are wierd though. I usually create these intricate settings, and while my character is different each time I always remember the previous events to some degree and have to do something based on them. For example:
Antique victorian hotel infested with the minions of hell, built on top of one of two portals to the mundane world at opposite ends of another, ancient and demon infested world. I emerge through the portal, and try to find a way to kill all the demons in the hotel, and if they notice me they signal an enormous fiery undead wyrm in the middle of the world who will mentally beam in on me Sauron style to tell me what a fool I am before storming the portal and destroying the mundane world flanked by the armies of hell.
And this is a recurring setting for me... in previous dreams in this setting, different stuff happened. I don't know where I get this stuff. But thanks to estrogen I remember it much better! :)

Two days ago I had an amazing dream that made me don't want to wake up. Nothing sexual, my dreams were never about sex. I was sleeping and my boyfriend (I don't have one!) was resting his head on my back... I could feel his breathing on my neck. We were with our hands together and I could notice that I was with my fingernails painted, so I was dreaming as a woman. I felt so protected, happy and secure. I felt like a normal girl, having a normal life, having a boyfriend, being treated as a woman and not as a man.
And some days before I had another dream where I was staring at the mirror and I couldn't believe! I was so feminine and beautiful!
Indeed my dreams have changed. I never had this kind of dream before... I was always on first person view and I had no clues if I was there as a woman or as a man =P Now I know and each time I have this kind of dream it is an affirmation that my life is going to the ritgh path this time!

Yes, instead of having the "Dude, where's my car?" dream, I now sometimes get the equally annoying "F***! Where'd I leave my purse?" dream.
I used to never want to wake up from the dreams where I was distinctly female, but now I love waking up in the morning because it's a reality now.
And I realize I know exactly where my purse is.

Yes, my dreams have changed. I almost never remember my dreams unless they are very emotional. My dreams changed from being a viewer of a past bad experience to interacting with persons such as parents, and they ask questions or have statements such as. How are you going to provide for them? and You do not belong here. Also, I am having transition dreams where I am developing and it is getting hard to hide or I am in a provocative situation with someone I know.
My ghosts are at bay for now and I hope forever.

I've had lots of really strange dreams throughout my life, and lately I've had a number of "frustration dreams".
To illustrate: recently I dreamed that I was watching a rugby match. It was our Irish international team against Texas Christian University (in Fort Worth, Texas for those of you who might not be in the know--and you might note that my dad grew up in Fort Worth). Now this is absolutely crazy. For one thing, I seriously doubt that TCU even has a rugby team, but if they did there's no reason why they should be playing Ireland--unless the two teams wanted to go to a lot of expense to play a pointless exhibition game.
At any rate, this was a game that the Irish would be expected to win without breaking a sweat, except that they weren't getting anywhere. Time was running out and the score was still 0-0--which meant of course that there was always the risk that TCU might somehow snatch a score and a victory.
Meanwhile, there was another game being played at the same time on the same field. It was the Irish women against somebody, I don't know who. And at times the two games were getting in each other's way.
In other words, the men couldn't win and the women were in the way. Seems significant to me. At any rate, welcome to the dark world of my subconscious.

That sounds fun. I have dreams like that too. I think it's from all the fantasy & sci-fi stuff I watch and play.

I'm not on HRT yet so can't really comment, but on a related subject I wanted to ask - is it normal for dreams to always be in a third-person perspective? I.e. I'm always watching someone who I know is *SUPPOSED* to be me, but it's like I'm watching a TV show rather than seeing it through my own eyes? I'm curious if this is an expression of dysphoria, as a sense of "disconnection" is one of the main symptoms, and this same "third person" feeling is something that I have in real life too (I'm there in body, but in spirit I'm watching my life from the sidelines). Could my third-person dreams be part of the symptoms? Do / did any of you have this too? ♥︎
Hehe, amen to that sister! :D "GO ON! STICK 'IM ONE!" ♥︎

My dreams are the same more or less. I still have an ill-defined sense of gender.
I had a dream not long ago that I looked in the mirror and I had my hair cut to shoulder length, a full beard, and a camouflage jacket on and I thought "well, it might be a nice disguise, but this doesn't really suit me."
I guess I'm kind of gender fluid or agender, leaning toward the fem side?

OMG.. my dreams have become so weird.. more vivid.. especially when I cycle progesterone..
I still have those dreams of being in college and not being prepared for a test an wake up and go.. wow .. I am so glad that was a dream.
But my other dreams just make no sense at all to me..... mostly they have become so intense an vivid... and that can be scary at times.
I have woken up crying a couple of times... like when I thought one of our dogs died..
