Hi everyone!
I am a 55-year old New Zealander, married with three children, so what am I doing here?
I have been involved in the LGBT community as a supporter for many years and feel that attitudes towards trans & non-gendered people are one of the last barriers needing removal.
Looking forward to talking to you as I am working on a project that I will expand on the appropriate place.

Welcome Kiwi!!
It is nice to see people helping eliminate the barriers to happiness. Anything we can do for you just ask as we have a great group here. I will warn you that by not being trans yourself it will take a while for people to feel comfortable with you. A large percentage here have been hurt in the past very badly. I think with the proper approach though you will do just fine. One of our Administrators is involved in the ANZPATH (hope that acronym is correct or I may be out of a job :))in your neck of the woods. If you want to do any polling, ask for volunteers for a project or anything like that you will have to get permission first from Susan. Otherwise it will be deleted and you could be banned, so look over our Terms of Service well. Anyway, thanks for your efforts! I hope this will be a mutually satisfying relationship. :)

Welcome to Susan's,
I haven't been to Aotearoa for a couple of decades, but in my memory it is the most beautiful land, with the most wonderful people on earth. (A few too many bloody sheep though IMHO ;) ) Are the flies still as bad in the summer as they used to be? I understand that in OZ they added dung beetles to the mix and you don't need headgear in the bush any more.
I hope that your project is a success, and that The Bay of Islands is as splendid as I remember. Let me know if there is any way I can help.
Best,
Julie

Thanks for the warm welcome and kind thoughts!
And great that you guys not just know where New Zealand is, some of you have even been down this end of the world - and yes, it is a pretty place with lots of sheep, although I'm trying to help the ratio by eating as many of them as possible.
Thanks for the tip on ANZPATH; I will contact them next week.
One of the things I have found is that we are poorly served by action in this neck of the woods. I sent an email of complaint to our Human Rights Commissioner a while back when I discovered that about half of their online "resources" were actually links to scam pages!
See ya round!

Welcome, Kiwi!
I'm jealous. I've always wanted to visit New Zealand. Alas, it looks like I'll be stuck with just the desktop wallpapers for the foreseeable future. :)
