Title: Hello everyone

Hello everyone, my name is Aaron. Figured I'd make my introduction short, but I'd also love to share more of my life at some point as well. It may be quite a long write, lol. Anyways, my name is Aaron. I'm 27, labeled male at birth (of which I don't identify). I happened across this site ages ago, but out of public fear I never posted anything. I read and admired all you beautiful people from afar. I hope to be more involved on this site and in the trans community. As I stated above, I would like to actually tell my story from as far back as I can remember, up till now. It's a horribly long, bumpy road. I'm still not out, well other than to a close female friend and my girlfriend (she's not really on board with it). After roughly 23 years of struggles, I can't take it anymore, and I've began to openly express myself more, and I no longer fear doing things like this (openly talking about my life and trying to move forward).
Hope to talk to you all again soon.
Until then,
Hope to talk to you all again soon.
Until then,

Welcome NotYourAverageGirl to Susan's family.
I would maybe talk with your therapist if you have one for ways to help smooth out your path.
It's a hard thing to transition if that's what you need. But it is possible to live a healthy happy life in the end.
Hugs

Thanks for the warm welcome, ladies! I'm from the Illinois side if things ;-) I'll definitely be posting more as I get the time (currently working 12 hours a day).
@mrs izzy I currently don't have a therapist, but I have started looking. I'm trying to find some close to my location (I've been using the references on this site). I know it's definitely what I need to get things going smoother and start my next step, because transitioning is what I need, I feel it so strong (and have for years).
@JLT1 I definitely will be conversing more, lol. Time to delve into all the topics and see where it all leads :-)

Remember it's not a rush to the end but more learning how to enjoy life on the way.

Welcome! I am also new to the forums... I have trolled for years, but we all hit that point where we do need to express as much as we read. I have found nothing but amazing people here so speak your story and find you place with confidence.

Great advice =) appreciate it. I'm definitely seeing things differently nowadays, and ready to start fully enjoying life, no matter how long the journey.
Thanks for the welcome Ali girl. Love the Laura Jane Grace quote in your signature, by the way.

Thank you. She actually was my saving grace when I was depressed. Against Me gave me strength... I came out 2 months before she did. When she made her move, I was shocked and excited.
I never had a hero until that day. Actually seeing her and gas light anthem on Friday with my daughter. Super excited!!!
Feel free to use that quote, it is from the AOL preview video of "so much more"

I have a question for you honey, are you comfortable with your male name? Do you ever think of yourself under another name? Something you can wear with pride in here until such a time as you want to shout it to the world?

I go by my male name as of right now, seeing as I'm just starting everything openly, but on here there is definitely a name I'd prefer over my male name, to take pride in as you said, and that would be Alexandria, or Alexa for short. That would definitely be my preferred name here. I kinda made my username on here on a whim of how I was feeling, rather than using a preferred name, but it would be nice to be called by Alexa or Alexandria (and I'll probably change my user name to show this once I'm able).
@GinaTaylor thanks for the welcome =-)

As for the fun and games section, maybe I'm overlooking that, lol, but where is that located?

I agree! Just the little conversation so far has made me feel so welcome. I never truly knew how good it'd feel to be able to talk, be open, and interact with like-minded, similar experiences, people. I'm looking forward to the days to come here and getting to know everyone better myself. Thanks for the welcome :)

I was able to add a picture (bitstrips, until I can get a newer, better one if myself), but it's not letting me have an option to change my user name as of yet (unless I've over looked something, doing everything from my phone)
And thanks for the warning LordKAT, hopefully I'll only change it once ;)
