Im a mtf and raised jn a community where male emotions are a grave sin. It seems the more I open myself up to my emotions preparing to start hrt though the more things can trigger random bouts of tears. Not usually to many, I still have that level of control but things like changing clothes, using the bathroom, or taking a shower seems to trigger it quite a bit. Showers are the worst.
I'm trying to work my transition with my wife to finding a midpoint we can both be happy with but it seems to be getting worse week by week. Anyone in a similar situation able to lend a little bit of advice on this since some stressful situations can trigger it as well and I don't want to be crying at work anymore than need be.

Random crying is a rather good indicator of depression, and many trans* are depressed. Maybe have a chat with your family Dr about depression. Also tell your therapist, it will be a good place to start dealing with it, as you go on HRT the tearworks can become rather active, in a nice way,for many of us.

Any hope of it getting better with hormones and srs treatment since most of it seems to stem from when I'm exposing my body. When dressed behind looser clothes its not nearly as bad.
