I've re-written it lots of times now, and it comes across as angry every time. Anyone else come out to their parents super-young, only to be laughed right back into the closet?
I just can't seem to write a coming out letter to my parents that doesn't read like a declaration of war.
Suggestions?

That's part of my problem too. This last time around I added a part about "why i didn't come out sooner" and basically listed every mistake they've made that has made me too uncomfortable to come out. So far my main issue when writing coming out letters is being extremely passive aggressive. Maybe you should keep it short and sweet and include resources like websites and then talk about it more in person. I think that's what I plan to do. In person, I would feel too awkward and embarrassed to get mad.

Yup.
Told my mother at 14, she laughed, said i was being stupid/ridiculous.
That reaction effectively shamed me into trying to be hyper masculine (gym rat, trophy girlfriends, sports cars etc) for the next 14 years, its only now at 28 with my life already at what seems like rock bottom I've said sod it, I'm going to do it my way this time.
