Im nearing the end of my first month of hrt, and thought id mention what been going on for anyone whos interested. Mentally the changes have been mostly positive. Whereas i used to have a hair trigger, i now find myself not getting angry as easily, and am much more serene in general. Im becoming much more in tune with my emotions, which is good, since ive never really been an emotional creature. Physically, things are pretty much the same. My sense of smell is getting better, as is touch. I have been noticing that my nipples are more sensitive, and they itch. A lot. Though theres no noticeable growth or buds behind the nipples. I have been having some testicular aching and general tenderness. Maybe some shrinkage, and they definitely ride higher. The only complaint the missus has is that i have to be coaxed into the bedroom, and the evil one needs more coaxing. My doc is likely going to double my dose in a few days, which makes me happy, as im really liking the changes, though minor, and am looking forward to more.

Good luck. Its a big step, but if its the right thing, itll feel like a big weights been lifted.

We are on a close journey you and I! I am 1 month and 2 weeks in : ) My nipples have exploded and gained many welcomed buds. Also a little bit of tissue growth! It's so fun just to wake up in the morning knowing your becoming you on the out side : D

just finished scheduling my consultation appointment for Friday, see my therapist and right after that I see the doc for hormones! starting to get real really fast but I also know it's the right thing to do and can't wait to get this big weight lifted off my shoulders

I just had my second meeting with the doc yesterday. She doubled my dosage. Im now going into my second month, and apparently, this is where the real game begins. She said my itchy nipples were unusual, but a good sign, so heres hoping. As for it being real? The first 30 year long downward spiral was most definately real, so now im all too happy to be living my dream.

Itchy nipples should mean breast development so that's good. Just be careful and don't bump 'em! Ouch!

A drop in libido and erections is common, you may have to talk with your wife about new and exciting ways to have fun in the bedroom! :)

I remember when I accidentally smacked one when I was brushing my hair. That hurt like hell.

Thanks grace, already on it. And yeah, while im developing a more intimate relationship with my nipples, which havent grown, they just itch, they do require more tender care. I nicked one by accident with a razor years ago. It was an annoyance. I did that last week and it was like "oh my god my nipples on fire!"

Regarding the increased sense of smell, I have experienced that too. For example, to my surprise, I realized that the bodily odour of my female lover is similar to her sister's... and her mother's... You can just tell that they belong together! :) (and my lover added: "well, that's what body odours are for, aren't they? :) " ) Btw, this would of course not be possible if they used perfumes or strongly perfumed products. Also, I can detect when my lover has not been present in the flat for more than two days. The lovely odour is just gone.

I wish i was that lucky. Ive noticed that unless im actually smoking (i know its bad. Ive kicked all my other bad habits, so gimme a break), that i can smell a cigarette 30 feet away, and when i walked past the bathrooms of a crowded club last night i noticed that it had an aroma akin to a dirty horse stable. Also, the large, hairy man next to me was in serious need of deodorant. And a fire hose.
