Title: A bitch cries
Post by: peky on October 25, 2014, 08:32:15 AM
I saw the interview of Jazz by Katie (http://news.yahoo.com/video/face-transgender-youth-092618953.html0,

and I cried...

I cried for me and for you... for you who did not have any supporting parents...

for you who instead of getting hugs got beaten...

for you who instead of a kind word got yell "pervert and deviant"

for you who got thrown out in the street like a bag of garbage...

My mother, long time dead, appeared in my dream two days ago, and she was disproving me.... I cried for me

Hugs,

I saw jazz at the PTHC this year. At lunch a bunch of trans kids were in Reading terminal Market being kids happy and well adjusted and exploring. I had the same thoughts as you then.

Jazz was interviewed in late 2012 just when I hit the wall. Her confidence and parental support and understanding was transformative for me. I said if she can do it I can.
