Most of us started with a Therapist preferably with gender experience. In a lot of cases you need letters from them to start HRT anyway. Are you FtM, MtF or other? It would help to know so you get the right advice and information.

Anyway a big warm welcome!

Hi YesItsMe!

I would second the therapist recommendation. I would also say that you can learn a lot from here. But the therapist is a good place to start.

What I learned from here is that my feelings aren't at all unusual, and that others experience the same thing. I also learned that there may be root causes and that it's not really all that unusual.

But the therapist was able to explain that, plus she was able to help me with coming out and getting where I need to go. I am very early on but I feel I am making good progress.

Coming out can be the most difficult part of it. For me it was either that or constant depression (or worse).
