Title: Leaking after sex and dilation 1 year+ post-op? pad/liner use?

After dilation has dropped down after the first year, how often are pantyliners/pads used? I imagine the only times would be for a few hours after a weekly dilation or having sex with a guy. Anybody need them to light pee leaking problems?

I basically haven't used pads since the immediate post-op period and the high-dilation-frequency three months or so afterward, and even then I was mostly using pantiliners. I admit I do still tuck a washcloth between my legs for 5-10 minutes after dilation. (At 2+ years post-op, I am in fact only dilating once a week, so it's not a big deal.) The remainder of the lube that works its way out after that, along with any natural discharge, is slight enough that it's not worth wearing protection for.
Leaking after sex happens to cis women, too. :) So does the pee thing; I haven't needed it, but it's not uncommon with female anatomy. I hear there are special pads for that, though, as the ones intended to absorb blood don't do as well with thinner liquids.

I stopped liners around 6 month mark. Granulation had made a slight issue with spotting.

I still carry a couple of pads in my purse at 21+ months and they do get replaced once in a while, but they also find their way to other women too*. I have to dilate once a day per my surgeon, and will for the next 20+ years of life expectancy. I usually do my dirty deed just before a shower at either morning or evening, and the shower is enough to clean off the goo so I do not have to worry about it. I do wear plain cotton underwear however that are easily washed. I wish I could report on what to do after intercourse, but it has not happened yet, but that is why I also have a couple of super-lubed condoms in my purse along with the extra pads. I most often still use the pad so I do not have to "sit in the wet spot" after I have sprung a leak.
*My best evil grin time ;D of "loaning" another woman a pad was my own daughter who has been the biggest snot about my transition and surgery. For once she did not use the "D" word, and did not pretend she does not know me in restroom lines. ;D :D >:-)

After five years post-op, I feel that I adore when my lover ejaculates in my vagina!
I have a two year relationship and we live together. He met me female. To me it affirms my femininity as every other woman sexually experiences. I keep feminine wipes in my small dresser next to my trash basket there too on my side of the bed. That's it. I know I'll still be sticky and moist the next morning. I then may just wipe again and clean my vagina or douche. I've long since also accepted being 'wet' sometimes and prefer dresses and skirts so my panties dry faster. I also have a spare pair of panties in my purse. (I had my "birth defect" corrected at 18. I also took puberty delaying meds from age 14, when I went to a private TG school in SF, with my parent's, dad is a surgeon, Mom's a NP. Then I could live 24/7 as the girl I was. Back to the topic; I actually enjoy my lover cumming in me. (I try to keep him in me as long as I can too). I wear panty liners some times, but am not worried too much after I take my shower every morning. Mainly I love being female, with all the complications men don't have a clue of.

I still use liners particularly after I have dilated to stop the stick leg syndrome and on other odd days when I appear to be damp .

I still use liners everyday, I have a little moisture which is a natural occurrence. If I don't use a line I would have to change panties probably 3 times a day so .. maybe more than a little moisture, I am over a year post op

Where does the moisture come from? Is it like left over from dilation? Are all/some post-ops always wet down there?

My understanding is that there is beneficial bacteria that feeds on dead skin. Cis women have similar processes which is why our smell can be similar to theirs.
I am always moist inside, though not as much as a cisgender woman.

I asked my gyno once about it and she said every girl is different I just happen to have a bit more. as to where it is coming from I can only speculate, maybe left over from dilation, its been said after so long our lining of the neo-vagina coverts to that of a normal vagina, I would bet this is probably true as my gyno has done tests and said my vagina was very normal with all the proper bacteria's and ph. which is probably where some of the moisture is coming from as well. but everyone is different so I wouldn't say this is true of every post-op. this just accounts for me.

Left over from dilation and self-lubrication plus the bacteria, is my guess for myself. I'm not "wet" unless I'm aroused, but I'm definitely a little moist now (early on, when I was still healing, it was sometimes so dry it was uncomfortable, so I do have a point of comparison). I also have explicitly mucosal tissue used for my clitoral hood, which produces a small amount of moisture as well.
