Title: How should I bind for now?

I'm going to try to eventually get a binder but for right now I have $10. My parents owe me $200 which they should be able to pay back around March. I thought I could just wait until then but I'm getting pretty dysphoric. I have a bunch of sports bras but most are low enough that the top of my chest very obviously pops out. I have one that goes up high enough but it doesn't bind much. Is there a way to bind safely with things I already have? Like maybe a safe way to use ace bandages or something?

I have heard guys talk about using waist trimmers, but I am not sure of the safety of them. Hopefully, someone will weigh in on this.

You can maybe try the binders from eBay?
And to Brett; as long as you use the neoprene style waist trimmer there is no caution (except if you are allergic to neoprene but that chance is really small). Neoprene is a rubber material, just like nylon but denser. That is why Neoprene has the quality of being waterresistent (hence the fact why people sweat and get it hot in neoprene). There are actually neoprene binders on the market from Juya (sold at Loveboat).

If you're ok with second hand binders there are exchange schemes (over here in the UK we have MORF, research tells me US have something like Big Brothers? not sure exactly but google should be able to help you) where guys donate old binders after top surgery and you pretty much only pay postage. It might be a bit of a wait if they don't have anything donated in your size but it's a more affordable way to get started.

Got a related question. I'm not sure WHERE I fit on the spectrum, but if I wanted to test out binding, how would I go about that without emptying my bank account (my current income is paltry to put it mildly).
Thanks!
Thanks!
