Paperwork goes in Monday and I have a consult with Bowers in February.
I am very very very excited.
Also, hurray for ICATH which removed all obstructions from my path despite my loose following of the Benjamin SoC.
Very excited, and after years of lurking here. I felt the need to make an account.

I have lived full time for 13 years.
Been on and off hormones (doctor loss, self medicating, the usual).
Have already dealt with all my arrangement of letters (ICATH/Benjamin cross with my PHD and ICATH with my masters)
Am about to be back on regulated hormones, but have more than enough hormones time and RLT.
I am also stealth, 90% of those in my life do not know.
For this I have lost nearly 100 lbs and changed my entire lifestyle.
Things are going great. I am very very pleased.

Congratulations! Best wishes on the consult and future SRS!
Keep us informed, Dr Bowers is on my short list.

She has been my #1 choice for well....13 years now.
Dr McGinn made my short list due to the use of the same technique and her close work with Dr Bowers.
If I was comfortable going abroad I would like see Chettawut. But for me I would rather leave the states behind with a female passport and not look back (going to head into early retirement after I get my surgeries).
Although I am consulting two FFS surgeons here (O and S) I have my reservations about both.
Osterhout: Pros- He pioneered it. He can tell you precisely what would make your skull feminized. He has years of practice and a young helper.
Cons- Age, Price, aggressive nature of his work (do not want to end up in the uncanny valley).
Spiegel: Pros- Non invasive techniques used
Cons- Might not be enough for my face and some of his results are less than exceptional. Will heavily depend on consult.
If I wait on FFS until after GRS (I can easily afford both right now out of savings alone); then I can leave the states on my world tour. And leave myself open to seeing the surgeons who's work most impresses me Dr DiMaggio and Dr Bart.
But wither way for me GRS is done stateside and my female passport is the only one to check into other countries. So FFS still heavily depends on consultations.
