Okay ladies, here it is. It is time to spill the beans. I'm fairly new to the transitioning process and starting to prepare myself for RLE, I do have a purse already, given to me by a very good friend. I'm just curious what kind of things do you carry in your purse? Here's a list of some of the things I figured I would be carrying in my purse.

Wallet.
Cell phone
tissues.
Make up for touchups.
Lip balm and lipstick.
Hand sanitizer.
Sunglasses.
Body spray or perfume.
A pen.
Breath freshener or mints

I just feel like there's some missing here, let me know what you think, happy purse dumping ladies.

I try to keep it simple and carry a fairly small purse.  I see my wife fumbling around in her "bagzilla" all the time and want no part of that. LOL

Bear repellant. Way more better than mace or pepper spray. A "Midnight Special" in the bad parts of town my not be too bad either. Just be careful with that on though. I don;t want to see any sisters or brothers in jail.

(BTW, we call purses handbags here in Aus, purses to us are wallet)

Of course my phone, wallet, and keys.

Also a spare dose of E in case I'm out longer than I expect, a snack (now a container of honey roast peanuts), a tube of hand moisturizer, a comb, pen, pencil, pad of paper, spare sanitary pad. There are also a few giftcards that at various places if I find occasion to use them.

And deep in the hidden compartment, my carry letter. Probably a bit worn by now.

I'm really surprised I didn't see more of this, of course, I don't carry one because I don't have one yet as I'm not full time yet, but that definitely will be in my purse. When this does happen

I dumped my carry letter the day I got my new ID with a big fat "F" on it!

The only thing that will ever out me now is a strip search.  Lucky I've gone this long without one...

I used to carry a makeup bag and a brush set, but after I got tired of doing my makeup everyday for about a month or so I'd hardly ever use them, so I took them out haha

I started with keys, purse/wallet, 1 lipstick and some wetwipes/dry wipes? And most importantly pepper spray!
I now have a bag FULL of stuff, and I'm not even sure whats in there anymore... All i know is, i battle to find anything in there now.

I've really enjoyed reading this thread. It's neat seeing what you other girls carry in your purse, but let's be honest out there. How many wound up cleaning their purse while looking to see what you have in your purse? Mine was empty To begin with, so no cleaning here.

I did remove everything, yes. And failed to report that I also found a few receipts that I probably threw in there in lack of a better place - some were months old...

Compact with mirror and lipstick in outside pocket, cell phone in other outside pocket, in zipper inside pouch, credits cards, ID, change and a little cash. In main body, very small umbrella (I HATE getting wet), check book, a small polished rock that reminds me to be kind to others (long story), small hair brush, small bottle of hand lotion and the bottle of whatever color nail polish I am wearing. + of course keys to car/house/office. I avoid a purse any larger than what this stuff will fit in to avoid ending up carrying too much crap in it.

If I have pants or a coat with pockets, I usually carry my phone or pepper spray there instead so they're easier to get to in an emergency.

I carry panty liners because it seems every time I urinate no matter how well I wipe the area I still leak some afterwards thus, it's a necessity. I do keep tampons at my house for my friends cause they never seem to have any when they are visiting me. I've had friends ask me for tampons when we are out and I remind them that "I don't have periods."

My purse?

Two pairs of glasses. At any point in time I'll be wearing reading glasses, distant vision glasses, or distant vision sunglasses, all prescription, so two of those are always in my purse.

Lipstick and/or lip balm, powder, a comb, pencil eyeliner, eye brow highlighter, nail clipper, and nail file, all for touch ups if needed.

Checkbook, wallet (with credit cards, insurance cards, id cards, cash, change), pen, and corporate ID badge for when I have to go to the main office campus.

House keys, car keys (when not in the car), cell phone, and cell phone charger.

Yes I carry a lot. :) And I love it. I am so much better organized with my purse than a guy trying to keep things in pockets!

Well, there you have it and, it's just your average size leather shoulder bag just with a lot of compartments. Although, If I'm only going to be Shopping quickly or in a Dollar Store/gas station Clutch #1 is all I take in Hiding main purse under my truck seat. But I'f I'm going to be inside for a while the whole thing comes with.

Lol! Love all the girls who carry guns! I have a couple of .45s myself but I doubt I will carry in a purse. I might get a shoulder or corset rig or continue IWB or pocket carry like I usually do. Or maybe a thigh holster.

I would love to carry a gun but my Job requires interstate travel and it's too much hassle to get a permit for every state.

Yup you're so busted. ;)  There is something to be said for those simpler days with bulging pockets and a wallet.  Now we have two pages of inventory and a real need to clean it all out once in a while.  Heaven forbid we should ever lose our purse/handbag :D :

Magazines become surprisingly bulky in a small purse loose ammo takes up no space, also some magazines are spendy.
Most states yes you need a permit.  Most of the time they are reasonably easy to obtain as long as you don't have any criminal record.

As long as they are in the hands of responsible citizens it is not a dangerous situation. I would rather be able to be equally armed than the one that tried to car jack me. ??? Why?
Because we had a mess killing, at the hands of a nut job who could get his hands on a semi-automatic gun and kill as many people he could within a few minutes.
Our gun laws were changed within weeks, our country is a lot safer today because of them.
People here do not carry guns in the bags while shopping, people don't need to fear that their kids have a higher chance of being shoot at school because we changed our gun laws.
Gun deaths in Australia are 60x lower today than pre-96, gun crime is just as lower.

As the rest of the western world laughs at your dangerous rightwing gun laws, we're also in shock at how people could allow the nut lobby put children at such a risk, time & time again.

Instead of carrying a weapon, I learnt taekwondo as a kid and am now a first dan senior blackbelt. Everyone in my bio family knows some form of martial arts and It had saved me several times during my early transitioning.The cops can't conflicate that too. I would like to get my hands on some pepper spray or something though.

We have strict laws here in places like NYC and NJ and gun crime is actually higher there. In fact gun ownership and concealed carry permits have substantially increased in the USA while crime has steadily declined. There are other factors at play such as poverty and even lead paint (banning lead paint has been conclusively linked to lower crime rates).

Unless you live in one of the pacific US territories where you have to register your hands and feet if you know deadly martial arts.

Agreed. It is always on my person. Putting it in a purse or bag is asking for trouble.

thats why my pepper spray is attached to a carabiner  on my purse strap. it has a quick release keychain attachment. Plus I carry my buck knife on my belt at all times. It also serves to remind me, and others, not to try to get close to me.
