Hi, my name is Nicole. I'm a male crossdresser and pretty new to this site. I have just one simple question that I've considered doing myself, would you ever crossdress in public?

I am now wearing very short dress, thigh-high socks and high heels at my work place. Everyday I wear lipstick and mascara/eye liner.

My time going out in public was at one time a cause of concerns for me :-\... after the first event, I realized that it is not something impossible to do, but that demand in a degree of courage and break paradigms of ourselves :)... After this first step, it was wonderful ;D...
My biggest challenge is being rightly encourage crosses here in Brazil, especially those who are in smaller cities, or do not personally know other crossdresser :D

All the time except at work. Other than a slight level of disrespect from some retail employees, (just recently), I haven't really had any concerns or issues. Even at work I keep my nails done and wear girls jeans and a slightly padded bralette and cami under my shirt. The straps cannot be hidden so it's a bit more fun! Baby steps are recommended as the anxiety can become overwhelming. Above all have fun!

I find that I want to very badly but am held back by fear. I have been out dressed driving and some things around the house. I think as I do better makeup and get a higher quality wig I will finally venture "out."

Same here. Really would like to go shopping or maybe just for a walk dressed, just don't have the courage yet.
What I've done is going out wearing a bra under my shirt a few times and girls shoes twice (quite scary btw).
Trying clothes on the store (specially shoes in the middle of the store) also helps with the fear...

I haven't dressed in public but I hope to get up the nerves to do it within the next year. I have a couple things that I need to accomplish to get to that point and one is a wig because I just don't have the patience to grow out my hair fully and I think it has to do with my stint in the army where I just feel strange when my hair is too long. I also need to get some breast forms to fill out my bras and I also want to get a nice dress as well. I would love to meet another transgender woman in my area that can help support me and get up my nerves to do so, perhaps someday I will go dress in public. That is the end goal one of these days.

I would in a heartbeat if I was even the slightest bit passable. At least being able to dress up and go out and escape into my femininity might help relieve some of this dysphoria i've carried around inside most of my life. Then again that could be a double edged sword and trigger my relief so much so that I feel the need to transition and be the woman I always knew I was meant to be.

Yes. I know it is not an easy journey. To me, it has been like riding a roller coaster.
