and im super considering getting a wig
Any suggestions as to where?
What should I be looking for?
Or should I just stick it out?
Right now I cant do anything with it. 
And long hair kinda helps with my dysphoria.

Bands, pins, ribbons and barrettes are your friends.

seems like i should just tough it out i suppose!
its been growing for about 5 months no haircuts either i hear that trim thing is a myth
and i take very good care of my hair wash every other day moroccan oil hair food hair skin and nails and such is what i use.

When I first grew my hair out many years ago it was a complete mess. It kinda grew in all directions with no sense of style either. The sides were the worst, they literally grew away from my head.

Jill makes a good point. If you can, clip or tie as much of it back and out of the way to tame it. Mine was at the annoying stage for what seemed like forever when the bangs were constantly in my eyes or face, but pinning back the hair quickly solved that.

Wearing a wig is great if you don't have good coverage, but over the course of a day it can get very hot underneath. Doing that every day, the idea of it soon gets very old very fast. Sometimes it's just better to show your natural hair where you can. From the looks of your avatar, I see no reason to wear one. Just grin and bear it for now till it grows to a length you are happy with.

If you are talking about trimming your hair makes it grow faster being a myth, you're right.  However, getting it trimmed does make it healthier and controls split ends.  Also, you would be amazed at what a trim could do to feminize that length of hair without making it too much shorter. 

Control Maniac by "Short and Sexy Hair" did wonders to my hair during that awkward stage :). I took it by my hairdresser's advice and had no regrets whatsoever :).

Depending on how much spare money you have, but you could get extensions, I did and it really helped early on.

Ah! I was one of the lucky ones; I refused to ever have short hair...EVER. I fought for it and fought for it and grew it out when I was young and have had it long most my life. When I began transition I didn't have to deal with the growing out phase, BIG plus to be sure

That said, in my non-existent-experience in this issue, I'd definitely recommend just toughing it out. Wigs aren't cheap, and you don't want to buy some great fancy wig only to outgrow it in a few months! Also, as has been recommended, there are ways to make the sort of shaggy/inbetween look very feminine! One way or another, you don't have much longer to go!

Stick it out. It is worth all the other stuff you have to go through. And once you get past that awkward stage, then you got it made. Then come the work of taking care of it. but it is still worth it though.

Thanks for the suggestions. I found tgis tread interesting. But i wojkd like to throw my own question out there if i may. What if you dint have sufficent coverage? I have may hair about shoulder length but i have a high forhead si bang are little to non exsistent snd a i have a small light tgin patch at tge back on my crown. Neededless to say you could say im balding. But ive also not started hormons yet. Would it be better to just shave my head and go with a wig or not?

I'm in the akward stages myself lettting grow out no matter what. Last time I had a haircut was probably back in September around Labor Day I think. I can barely gather enough back hair to form a tiny ponytail, where as a few years ago I had almost 2 feet of length.  :(

Just let it grow out and rock it on the length you got it. Sometimes you got those awkward hair length stages like when it is on the height of your eyes (and for some reason, always either sticks in or before your eyes :P). When it is long enough to look pretty but just barely not long enough to put it behind your ears. And when it is about to reach your shoulders and it is of such lengths that no haircut looks good :P

At least, that were my stages xD. But if you want to pass, keep your own hair. Extensions are good too but wigs are really easy to spot. Especially when transitioning.

I did the grown out DA look slicked back with lots of gel 20 years before Jax from Sons of Anarchy!This worked while still in male role for work and daytime

This isn't always true in regard to wigs. A well bought and cared for wig can be barely if at all distinguishable from a home grown head of hair.I do agree that if you can grow your own hair, to do that.

I've had long hair for 22 years, long before starting to transition. It's easy to get away with when you're a musician in a metal band.  ;D

I'm glad that's one less thing I have to worry about. My hair is down to my waist right now but will eventually get cut and styled.

Your real hair is sometimes the same. A pain in the butt but so worth it. It is my number one thing that relieves my dysphoria.

Like Wynternight, I play and make sure that the hair care products I use smell good and taste ok because more of my hair ends up in my face and mouth someway. If you have really straight hair, I think a shoulder length blunt bob with bangs looks kickass but with curly hair like mine, just long and I tried the bangs deal but they really don't look good with my hair texture.
