Title: Looking for an honest review of my female voice

Hiya,
I was hoping that a few people would be willing to listen to my voice recordings and let me know what they think about my female voice (the two variations). I am looking for honest replies, so don't feel bad if you have to be a bit harsh. I have not done much practicing with my voice other than to sing along to songs in the car each day in a much higher pitch. I want to go part time soon, but I need to get my female voice at least to a point that I am comfortable with it (and then start practicing like crazy).
My normal speaking voice: https://app.box.com/s/gorjjfgres2pmmkuwr82
Female Voice #1 (~195Hz average): https://app.box.com/s/gnjf5aq6ftd8db33vj15
Female Voice #2 (~225Hz average): https://app.box.com/s/rzxda9oyrpv06r7y5q4q
Thanks in advance.
Melissa

Really depends upon your age. Female 1 sounds old (30 or above). Female 2 sound 20ish.

I should have said older. You're not old, I'm 60.

The first one sounds... kind of older.
The second one sounds very air-ish. Kind of like you're whispering.

I think there's something else besides how high your voice is that needs work. Because all three times I registered your voice as male. It just sounds like a tenor of countertenor. The female voice usually has a clear component to it along with it being high.i can still hear the thing in your voice. I am going to go look up the difference in male and female voices and then let you know what it is.

Bluntly put I did not register your voice as female. It sounded mickey mousey and constrained. I'm not sure how long you've worked on it but it's worth checking some voice training tutorials online and do some practice exercises involving reduction of chest resonance and adding a tone and breathiness. The one on the recordings sounds "funny" and off and it lacks dynamic.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate your honest replies. It just reinforces the fact that I am not ready to use my female voice out in public. I am hoping to see a voice coach early in the new year for some personalized help.
Primrose - I have not done much to train my voice, this is mostly just my first real attempts at reading a passage. I have looked up one set of voice tutorials prior to this, but I will search around Youtube for more.

Thanks Hanazono.
The first female voice seems more natural to me and I agree with Ms. OBrien CVT that it does sound more my age. I think I will use it as the basis for additional training.

Sounds like an older woman. Like... in their 30's. If that's your age, then perfect :) The first one is sort of nasally but both sound female
