Title: AHHH! Stretch Marks!
Post by: JustASeq on December 04, 2014, 01:25:14 AM
So today while I was peeing I noticed that I have a lot of fat forming at my hips. There are stretchmarks forming on my hips now too :(

While I really enjoy the shape my body is becoming, I am not the biggest fan of the stretch marks...

I put on really good moisturizer at least once a day, sometimes twice. Has anyone else have experience with this? Is there any way to minimize this happening?

coco butter? I think my Aunt used that when pregnant and I think she got only slight stretch marks.

Love,

Thanks, I'll try that. There seems to already be a lot, so I hope this will prevent more.

There is a girl on YouTube that got a recommendation to reduce her SRS scars with bio-oil. She said its also supposed to help with stretch marks as well. Unfortunately she only just started, but I figured for $10 its worth a shot so I just ordered some myself.

Your only hope is reducing the new stretch marks and preventing future ones. Any dark purple basically no chance.  Be aggressive, if you wait on stretch marks they will definitely be permanent. I'm not aware of any workable surgery or medicine that truly helps beyond what was already suggested but anyone with info should post and share!

As far as future prevention is concerned, timing of application of moisturizer is important.  Try to use immediately after bath or shower, preferably before skin is dried.  Once skin dries and moisturizer is applied, a true bond between skin and the lotion happens to a lesser degree.  Results do happen but not near to the extent that can be obtained if the lotion mixes slightly with the water.

Maybe look into a brand name Dermalogica, I'm not sure of what their full line is, I only use the facial moisturizer.  Dani
