I was just curious how many people here have played on Second Life. For me it was a bit of an eye opener. I played for over 2 1/2 years with everyone believing I was a cis female. When I did come out to friends there, they were completely shocked. So many people on there said they would know if someone was a real female or not after a few conversations that I felt sort of validated when I was totally accepted as female.
Let me know if you do play SL and maybe we can meet up there :D

I've made an account, but I never could figure out what was going on in that game.

I am with Eevee. I had tried ST a few times and just never got it. I don't even remember what my name was :)

I've been playing regularly since 2006. Met my RL partner there, we have been dating for over 5 years (like in real life, not just second life). We live about 8 hours apart and have kept a long distance relationship going by hanging out in SL together. We visit each other in person every month or so.
It's not a game, you can't "win" or beat it. It's a social virtual world. It does have a steep learning curve but all the building and scripting you can create almost anything. I run a skate park. I played as a human for the first few years, I've been a feisty little pink skunk since then :P
