Title: My brother's reaction...
Post by: Auroramarianna on December 12, 2014, 02:39:29 PM
I finally had the courage to tell my brother. I couldn't believe his answer. "You waited all this time to tell?" he said in a way he has always been expecting and says he admires how I have the courage to go through what I went, basically completely alone, and that he gets it now - my parents don't accept and my mom is basically blackmailing me and using it against me, mentioning my little dirty secret in arguments but not telling what it is. He said he wanted to punch her in the face. He said it's people like me who have to make the hardest choices and that he admires me. I'm so YAY I COULDN'T ASK FOR A BETTER BROTHER. I LOVE HIM.

Aurora hun, I'm so happy for you right now! ^.^ I knew your brother was going to be supportive from what you've told me and I honestly admire your courage too. :) I'm glad you have at least one person in your life who is, you don't deserve any less. <3

Thank you for sharing. Isn't it wonderful?

My estranged brother recently re-entered my life. His support has touched me to the core, and I very much look forward to a future as his little sister, with him by my side.

Good for you! These moments really are the tests that tell you just who in your life you can really count on. You've got a great brother.

It's hard to hope for a better reaction then that, I'm glad it went well. A single ally can go a long way in making you feel comfortable yourself, and maybe winning more of your family over as they become the minority in not accepting you.

Mom's are fun, huh...My mom would do the same thing if she found out about me. She's done it before with my brother and his boyfriend.

It is amazing how well family pick up on this.  My families reaction to this was "yea we knew that long time ago"

Still have not told my brothers, my sister and my mom know. Every time I try to tell any of my brothers it just does not seem like the right time.  I have four older brothers most of them were pretty mean to me when I was growing up. Up side when I told my mom she said she always wished I was a girl.

I've told my brother, and that's pretty much it so far. He was actually excited when I told him.

I could tell my sisters, but I don't know how it will change their view of me.
