Title: Home for the Holidays
Post by: Jace on December 16, 2014, 03:50:45 PM
I'm home for Christmas and I completely forgot how bad my dysphoria used to be until now. I'm glad I'm only home for a few weeks because having to switch to my birth name and female pronouns and generally not being out is so tough. I'm coming out to my family after Christmas but before I leave but until then I have to deal with it and it's hard.

Thankfully I have a few friends here who know me as Jace and my boyfriend is coming home soon too(we are from the same area but met at college.) and he understands things and is generally just super supportive.

But yeah it's been a switch and any doubts I had about if transitioning was right for me just went out the window.
