Title: HRT Muscle Aches / Fatigue / Head Aches
Post by: BrandiMcC on December 16, 2014, 06:22:17 PM
Hey girls! So, I am over 3 weeks in, and kind of struggling with fatigue and back/neck/head aches.  It seems like every post I see is from girls that start HRT and say they never felt better.  I am worried there is something wrong with me! I saw my doc today and he upped my E dosage again so I am already at a fairly high dose while my spiro dose is still on the low end.  He said my body may be adjusting still, that hopefully my energy will come up and that the aches and pains are normal too in the beginning.  No one seems to mention this online! Should I be concerned that basically after my 8 hour work day all I want to do is lay in bed and watch netflix??  (This is really unusual for me I should add.)  I really don't want to stop HRT!!

Thank you for your help!

I'm curious about this myself, I too have an increase in back pain and am just over three weeks on HRT as well.

It's more than likely adjusting to the E. Once I started E, (and I had my dosages adjusted up, down and all around....which we didn't need to do as it turns out.), I went through some stuff like that. Same thing after I had my orchi. Just give it time.

Same where, mine normalized after a month. You're so used to Testosterone supplying energy and then all of sudden the source of it is diminishing.
This is normal ladies :)

It's important to have enough E to replace the T lost or else you'll have menopausal symptoms which include body aches, headache and fatigue. Could also be due to Spiro, dehydration.

Its not just you. I was exhausted the first week and experienced a lot of nausea. The second week was much better, but still very fatigued. By the end of the second week I seemed to be back to normal, but then for week 3 I was supposed to double the dose. Doubling the dose brought back the symptoms (fatigue and nausea) again. Fortunately by the end of the week I felt normal again. My biggest disappointment is that I don't feel any different on the inside. I was told that most girls within their first week get more patience and a huge sense of calm, emotions become easier to express. I think there is some of that going on, but its a marginal change at best.
