Susan's Place Transgender Resources

So I've been here for a bit over a year now, and there are a few people whose posts really resonate with me and I admit that I actively seek out.   I really do love you all, this is by no means a complete list (and I will undoubtedly add many more in future posts), and I have met some Susan's people already, but I would love to hang out with:

Susan, for creating this place.  I would love to hear about how it came to be.
Cindy, for her attitude and sense of humor.
Ms. Grace, for her wonderful perspective, warmth and charm.

I've met a number of local Sydney girls from the forum (about seven or eight?) and one from Melbourne (won't say their names for privacy). Hoping to meet Cindy soon.

I'd really like to meet some of the guys, notably LordKAT and Arch. Would've loved to have met Nero face to face too.

There are many, many, many people on this forum I'd like to get the chance to meet, and chances are if they're in Australia I've got a reasonable chance of that happening, I'm surprised at how many I have already met. The only other person I'll single out though is Julia-Madrid - what a lovely lady!

Hhmmm....No, I don't think I'd ever want to do that....There's often so much contrast between one's virtual online personality & one's real-world personality that I think that....Well no.  Don't think I'd like to meet folks from any forum in, in person.

I'll just continue to admire & respect (or dislike) folks from a virtual distance.

I've met three Susanites in person, one found my okcupid profile and contacted me through there. Gotta put Susan at the top of my list of who I want to meet. Saving a big hug for you!

While this is true I've only ever found that meeting people, different as they may be from their online persona, has only ever added to my appreciation of them as an actual flesh and blood human being, not just an avatar, a forum name and a bunch of words they've typed.

Same as grace, everyone i have meet here has been such wonderful people.

There are lots of people here I think I could have a nice stimulating conversation with irl, of course Haley, Suzi, androgynouspainter, pikachu, Barbie, and Jenny come to mind at first but many more would be a delight to meet I feel.

  There are so many cool people of all identities on here I don't think I could form a list.  Healthy-wackiness aside, I feel surrounded by an abundance of well-grounded folks.  It's saddening that there are so many of you too far 'geographically-removed' for me to ever meet the vast majority.  If I am traveling I'll certainly ask ahead to see if anyone will be at my destination.  Some year I want to make it all the way around and upside-down to Australia.  It appears there's a sizable contingent there to look-up.

  I can at least say I personally met Ms. Izzy, Myarkstir and Jenn_nb all in one go on my recent trip to Montreal.  They were all awesome!  My current avatar and associated caption were inspired by part of my conversation with Myarkstir.

  If I were to pick one more I'm really hoping Jennygirl would entertain a visit from me when she's in Montreal for her SRS in February (if it doesn't move again ;)).

I'd meet with most anyone given the opportunity. Eventually I plan to visit each of the habitable continents, I have 2 out of 6 down so far. When I go to Australia I'll have to say something but that trips not for another decade probably, Europe and Africa are calling stronger.

Well traveling being spares, I wouldn't mind someone in my area

that's my answer. I don't really like meeting people. I have always been a bit reclusive. It's very exhausting being around people. Except when it's about music.

Who of you sing or play an instrument?

For all those Sydneyites (& Bostonians who are looking for something to do) there is a regular fortnightly gig (dinner) in Sydney (Parramatta in fact) for those near and far that feel like stepping out. (You've gotta eat sometime).

Lets talk if you need more detail. I promise I won't bite. :icon_lol:

For the short time I've been on here, there are some really great people that I'd love to meet someday, both state-side in the U.S. and abroad throughout the world ..... especially some of those from Australia. I won't name names as I don't know everyone personally enough yet, but I will say they have provided inspiration to me in the early stages of my journey.

Now, if there's anyone from the upper Midwest (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, the Dakota's or surrounding area's), it would be great to talk more and get together on occasion.

There are a tonne of people I'd love to meet. I second the musicians idea. I'd love to meet Susan, Cindy, Ms. Grace, mrs. izzy, Illuminess, J-Mi and many others.

I live in Alaska and the only other person from the board that I'm aware of that lives here is StevieAK. Sadly she's a few hundred miles from me so we haven't met but we've talked and texted.

I may as well be in Australia as isolated as I am from the Lower 48 people.

Just last night I was kind of crying for no reason at all and I would always turn to him when I was feeling weepy cause he just had a way of making me feel better.  Then I realized this, and it gave me something real to cry about.  I won't get over his loss.  I will never stop missing him.

I like to think if he had just stayed with us that we would have met in person one day.  Oh well.  I am thankful for having him touch my life for the time he was here.

There is a long list of people I would like to meet. V M, Grace, Jill, Suzi, Susan, Cindy, Arch,  a certain gypsy, Keiara, Caleb, multiple Jays, etc. Many more from people who have been here and gone. It feels like an insult to only name a few when when there are so many.

I want to meet Birkin again. As much as I tried to distance myself from him, I can't do it. I still care about him a lot. I felt so safe in his arms and he was so warm to snuggle with. I loved being around him. Xx

Fast but not blast beat fast (for the most part). Think Toxic Holocaust vs. Repulsion. I liked Scum (Napalm Death) for a short time but the frenzied blasts aren't my thing now. I like the control of Marduk or Fleshgod Apocalypse for my blast beats.

Anyone and everyone. So far I've met one (Sydney) and made a good friend in the process who has been very helpful with a lot of things. Probably going to meet up a few more as time goes on. Always happy to meet up with my Susan's sisters, brothers and androgynous siblings.

Also I don't know that many on this forum who are from Canada. So I would probably have to buy a bunch of plane tickets if I were to meet anyone...now that I think about it I would probably have to do that even to meet someone in Canada lol! 90 minutes by plane just to the next province over :-\

Are the majority of our Aussie posters in Sydney?

After to long thinking, i found out that i would love to meet all of you :) On one side it would be to emotional but the lauching and huggs will make up for it.Then i start thinking again, how many members are there,if i meet in groups of  5.
Sadly i do not live long enough for all to meet, but its a nice idea.Second letdown would be the cost  to travel around the world.

There's a number of people, the ones that come to mind atm are Malachite, Edge, Shantel (although she is no longer here), Jamiep, Jam (he's not really here anymore but it would still be cool), Sephirah, ermmm...I know there's people I forgot and I'm going to kick myself afterwards.

I would like to meet anyone in my area (which in itself seems unlikely), but people near me at least that are going through these same things. I'm in a very conservative atmosphere most of the time, and the alternative is going to clubs and stuff. Most people I meet that I tell still see me as a guy and I feel uncomfortable around and then the people in my life directly can't see my as a women so that makes it 100x more uncomfortable. Even though they know.

I think the people I have encountered on here are awesome and very supportive no matter where you are in transition or in life. So having friends like that is what I seek. But it seems impossible until I appear more feminine or androgynous in every day life. I haven't relly been on here long enough to know exactly who I would like to meet or maybe I wouldn't. However, everyone seems so great so far I would probably at least hangout with anyone in my area that didn't come off as fake or creepy lol.

Jill you only say that because I'm the first fangirl of "Victoria's Other Secret". ;) I want to meet all of you, but specifically, Jill, Cindy, Grace, Laura Squirrel, oh, heck, too many to name. Every one of you, guys and gals and others, are my friends, my siblings, my confidants. You're all important in my life, all part of my reason for living. Before I came here last spring I was lost, I had no idea how to proceed. I had no idea that it would even work. I certainly had no clue that I could make it happen.
