Title: Implantable hormones -- thoughts?
Post by: Hazumu on December 18, 2005, 06:48:01 PM
What about the implantable hormones?  It seems like it would be convenient (no having to remember to take your dose,) and less stressful on the liver.  Of course I can see the downside that it's much harder to adjust the dosage should that be necessary.

Other thoughts?

I really would not like the implantable pellets. I have the patch and is easier on the liver and only have to change it every third day. My gyn. has said it would be better for me than the oral type as you lose a lot in the liver. Now, this is only what I am doing. I'm not suggesting anyone else do what I am doing. I'm post op too.
